@@Sluchayniy Repetitiveness is rarely used in a beneficial way though. It's mostly used as a cop out for enjoyable song progression and to reach a time limit. Sometimes it can be used well, other times it's just annoying and ruins what could have been perfect. When someone calls a song "repetitive" as a critique, they are saying the repeating doesn't add to the song.

@@Sluchayniy I can't think of any music with repetitiveness to an extent to mention it that I personally enjoy. Probably why I disliked the new Architects album. For me it is without a doubt a critique for music, because it's poor writing in my eyes. I don't like a song being stagnant.

This song is a bit repetitive, the guitar work barebones and its structure so simple, yet the whole package is so fucking cool. Also, mixing on Alien was ass, glad to see they fixed it with this song. This is a solid 8 or 8.5, can't wait to hear what's next.

I know that Nolly produced both this single and Alien (everyone who knows Periphery should at least know the golden guy's work to some degree...), but the fact that he did both doesn't necessarily mean that both mixes are on the same level: even the best can make mistakes, and it's totally ok, it's not like they're robots or something, so the whole "same producer" rhetoric doesn't really add up. Just to avoid any misunderstanding whatsoever... I'm not saying that Alien as an album sucks, although it is pretty far from the masterpiece everyone believes it to be (but that's something that would require a dedicated wall of text). It's just that I've always had the impression that, ever since Alien came out, people have been judging its mix simply by appreciating how better it is compared to the atrocity that Node's and Mesmer's mixes were, and thus convinced themselves that Alien's mix is good. And while I agree that Alien's mix is a major improvement over that of Node and Mesmer, I'd like to underline the fact that "better" and "good" are two different things: a 5/10 mix is way better than a 3/10 mix, but it's still not good. To me, Alien's mix sounds pretty muddy overall: 1. The guitars feel "plugged" (don't know the exact word as English is not my mother tongue, sorry for that), and sometimes they cover certain synth sections that would otherwise have many subtleties, which is a shame: since the guitar parts are relatively uninteresting compared to those of the previous albums, it would have been amazing to have the synth shine, but unfortunately they often do not because of the poor mixing. 2. The kick, snare and toms sound very weak, almost cardboard-like, and the cymbals are awfully quiet, which is a shame since Nic has transitioned to a more cymbal-oriented style over the course of the years. 3. The vocals are not too low nor too high, so they fixed one of Node's and Mesmer's main problems, but the Korn-ish and robotic vocals sometimes are really unpolished. Like, I know that metalcore is not as popular as pop, but to me it's pretty hard to justify such a poor mix for the FIFTH studio album of a band who is very well-known in the scene. Still kinda like the album tho, and while I think it's really far from a masterpiece, I do get why people love it and respect that. EDIT: typos

I personally dont think KPop and Metal go together. There's a difference in having digitalization to help beef up a track, and straight electronics as a main instrument. The breakdown intensity was muted by the electronics. I'm sure I'll get a lashing for this comment, but I personally dont like it.......I'm sure others do
