LYRICS
When the wind breaks before our very path
We are swept away; I hear the wind howling my name
Leaving behind me everything I thought that I should be
Everything they told me was right
Leaving behind me everything I thought that I should be
Everything they said about life
We have made the sacrifices
We have been patient for long enough
Its is our chance, our time
Our time to rise the fuck up
I will break the wind
This road, it leads so far away from home
I breathe the air, down a road to nowhere
Streams of oxygen, soothe our forms
We long to breathe in the air
Around us
I feel the kiss of the breeze against my face
We long to feel all the air
Around us
I'm packing up
I'm leaving here
Don't know when I'm coming back.
I'm floating free throughout this life
Re shaping my thoughts time does wither the mind
Time does wither the mind, and in due time
The life I thought I wanted I never seem to find
It might be dark it might be cold
But if I ever feel like turning back
I just breathe and remember where I am, inside the dream
I will break the wind.
When the windbreaks before our very path
We are swept away; I hear the wind howling my name
Break.

This song is beautifully aggressive . 2:00 until the end, is a masterpiece that’ll never get the credit it deserves. It’s crazy how I can almost feel the wind when I hear this song, Northlane really hit the mark with this song.

Adrian was pretty great, he sounded completely different when he growled and screamed, pretty impressive.

What is a growl? From what is it when it builds up from a clean to a scream?

I believe a growl is one of those "deep screams" that Adrian does in this song.

Just recently found out bout this band, and all I can say - it's absolutely amasing... Dunno, if it's because I've found it in a difficult period of my life, but still, the right words that have been said in a right moment - can do a great things with your motivation and your daily mood. When I've realised that Northlane is from Australia, just like "In Hearts Wake", "The Amity Affliction". etc, I've fell in love with this country! Even thou I'm 30 y.o., I wanna see these guys live on stage, tearing my heart and ears with their sweet music.. There is not a chance any of these bands will come to Ukraine with a tour, so I dream about traveling to Australia to catch some big tour with them. "It might be dark, it might be cold But if I ever feel like turning back I just breathe and remember Where I am inside the dream" Peace.

How do they do it? How do they make such perfect songs :) This is one of the few albums from any of the bands Ive ever liked that I can listen to top to bottom and not like a single that I have to skip it.
