On August 21 and 22 there will be 8x pay per view stream events of Northlane - Live at the Roundhouse.
We are stoked to show you Bloodline for now.
Like everybody on this platform around the world, we really miss live music. Both watching and performing, it's a life changing and defining passion that runs through our veins.
We've always wanted to bring this experience home to you, and right now there is no better time to do that.
If you've watched Negative Energy, you'll know how big of a deal it was to come and sell out the Roundhouse in Sydney on the Alien world tour, after such a difficult time prior to this landmark album coming out. We knew we'd want to revisit this night so we brought in a whole camera crew, captured all the audio and had it pro mixed & mastered. Many of the older songs sound better than they ever did on record.
This will be your ONLY chance to watch this show in it's entirety. Tickets are $10USD per stream. Not bad for the price of a beer in Sydney. We'll be live chatting to you during the event too.

They use a lot of samples and synths to create that wall of sound to layer on top of the guitars, which makes it sound huge and clean at the same time. The mix is also very good.

@@willemvandenbroeck6829 close. We took the desk feed (inputs from every instrument) of the show and handed it over to chris blancato who engineered the instrumentals on alien. He mixed and mastered it and this is the result. When we play live most of our feeds are direct, we only have mics on vocals and drums. On a stage like this there's not heaps of bleed so you can get a pretty clean mix happening if you know what you're doing. Chris is an absolute guru so he nailed it.

I spoke to Marcus at the Perth show and thanked for him for being so open on the record. I explained how I thought it was really important for artists and bands to be authentic as music is a form of expression. Marcus was extremely understanding and empathic to what I had to say. At this point I wasn't aware of his complete suffering (his mother passing). I have a lot of respect for this human being for pushing through the pain and doing what his heart desires. Your passion speaks volumes Marcus and all of the band members help express this pure emotion through the tracks on this album. The live performance is powerful asf. This band has always expressed so much truth to me and I'm so grateful to have been on this music journey with you all. Please never stop making the music that you do. We need it.

@@Jacksoncomplex an entire live show costs a lot more money and effort to put on, not including travel and personal costs for performers - mixing and mastering a live show that already happened was already money spent, bands are just trying to stay a float right now - it might not be what YOU want but that doesn't make it a waste or make it annoying... it's something that will help Northlane make some money where some of us performers don't have the means to - there's already a few Northlane sets online, I wouldn't be too worried about getting a full Alien set at some point, it's all just marketing to sell streams

@@RMAmusic1 Mate I'm not saying they shouldn't live stream the gig and i know exactly how much live shows cost. The band isn't paying for it out of their own pocket. Their label, management and event company would be paying for at taking a percentage of their earnings from the ticket purchases. I'm saying they should stream the gigs as they plan to but eventually release it in it's entirety as well. That way they'd make more money from the purchase of the DVD/live video on top of streaming it. All I'm saying is for all the effort they put into this gig and live video/audio it seems like a waste of effort for it to only ever see the light of day for 48 hours.
