What a great nostalgic video. I went to Northolt high school in the mid 1980s. Mrs brown was the Head teacher. The was a cafe by the clock tower by the plough pub. I used to hang around with Stuart bryce

Lovely to see it so clean and tidy. A world away from what it is today, like many places in the UK.

Man it's CRAZY to see soo much of northolt back then.. I was born in the mid 90's so i grew up seeing northolt in the late 90's and 2000's, even to this day. I have to say it was much more of a countryside than what it is now.. Much more cozy, there's so much more development in northolt nowadays. Thank You for uploading this!

Hi Haider, it has changed a lot over the years! Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it

@@RobMidlife It looks exactly the same apart from the plough being flats and a little Sainsbury's and the swimming baths being a new one. The Load of hay is a crappy harvester and 2 of them on the bikes have still got the same barnets.

@ray....I knew David devere, his brother Andy king and sister debbie,Brett evans, and many other geezers who would be in their 50's now went to Islip manor first,(75-76),Islip manor middle, and northolt high(83-86),the load of hay was always packed,I remember it being knocked down, and some poxy gaff called the harvester put in it's place,my mum worked at hills bakers, next to the entrance of Islip manor park for years and got to know a lot of the families in northolt i grew up on the Islip manor estate,it was still being built in the summer of 1976,I remember a lot of people from northolt, those that went to barrantyne as well....great video i understand things have changed there, and not for the better shame, it was a cosy gaff years ago.

Amazing how Northolt gangs now shoot Rayners Lane gangs and vice versa. It's full on gang warfare between HA2 and UB5. I'm 40 and grew up in Rayners Lane, I had friends and raver mates in Northolt, but no chance of that these days. Learnt to swim at Swimerama! I fled London a few years ago but work with a geezer who'd have been the age of the riders in this video who lived on the Islip manor park estate.

Amazing how a BMX bike can turn into a Raleigh Grifter in one turn.

Stumbled upon this video as my family have lived in Northolt for years and my mum has lived here all her life. We've all become fairly convinced that the woman in the underpass at 4:10 is her 😂. When I questioned her about it she said she had that same hair style and jacket in 1986 and she lived very close to Northolt Station where this was filmed.

The scum bags burned The Plough down so it could be redeveloped. Amazing how they get away with stuff like that. You wouldn't be able to ride a bike there now, someone would nick it off you before you got on the saddle😢

Classic footage from the mid 80's! And clothes and some of the hair styles people have now..... What video camera was this filmed on Rob??
