Just to note about the different digit on the Z340: the TL431 and the TL432 are the same thing with swapped pins and only 1 digit changes. There are countless examples of this and assuming the chip is the same because of a similar part number is very risky. Since this is a mosfet it shouldn’t be catastrophic, but it’s important to keep in mind

This applies for Acer brand too. Worst customer service in all the major brands, and will use every single cheap parts they can to make it work just for the warranty time and break after. If it breaks before the warranty ends ? Mehh each components cost them pennies so they will change them, once you send them back your laptop for over 9 weeks, and will return it to you fixed. But it will break again and it won't be under warranty anymore. Companies are scums abusing idiots. And idiots are buying anything scums does just because of marketing. Slap a banner saying FASTER THAN LIGHT and boom you just sold 10k units. People are dumb. Companies know that.

Question: When soldering a MOSFET what keeps the solder from bridging from one of the inner pads to an outer. I notice you press down on them that excess solder comes out but with my limited knowledge it seems it would bridge underneath. I realize it doesn't, but why?
@CognacKidd2 жыл бұрын

generally the solder mask (green paint) on the PCB does a really good job at repelling the solder. Couple that with enough flux and the surface tension of the molten solder will prevent bridging across
@FrankDrebin2 жыл бұрын
Soldermask has enough thickness that solder doesn't stay on it, surface tension does the rest.
