Would it not work without the capacitor? I'm a firm believer that it is there for a reason, but i do see a lot of video's where folks just don't bother replacing them.

I have noticed that you use the positive probe to ground and the negative to test voltage, I am learning to repair that is why the question , could you please explain why? Thank you.
@NorthridgeFix5 жыл бұрын
I'm using diode mode to test for a short. Red on ground and black whatever point you are testing. If it's beeps, you have a short.

Is there any way to find local people who can do this type of board level work. I don't have the wherewithal, patience or equipment to handle this. Any suggestions for finding people who KNOW WHATTHEY ARE DOING and won't charge me $100 an hour.

honestly I am so frustrated just watching this but I need to understand why these machines are dying on me! I enjoy basic repairs but that liquid goop and the microscope etc I cant work like that. Id never be able to have that level of articulation....
