As a fullback , my old Jersey Flegg coach would drill “never draw and pass against a tight 5 metre defender - bringing a long kick back . Risk is too high v any reward .

With that that old dinosaur coaching I doubt you chaps ever won a game. Fuck homie you must be old, what the fuck is the "5 metre defender". I think you made that "5 metre defender" thing up to sound smart.

Hard to pick a man of the match . I can pick some shockers though Wests - Cameron Blair , Simonds were their best for them . Jason Taylor and Flanaghan were poor in spreading the ball . Henjak not starting ????? Typical Warren Ryan un really defence - not really picked up by the bears . How Flanaghan ever was graded was beyond me . I watched him gone through the saints ranks . Saints were short of hookers after guider and prior to Wayne Collins. Bears should have used their pace out wide a lot more and get around the ryan umbrella defence. Keep the ball alive against Ryan teams / quick play the balls . Flank / Go around Warren Around Teams with pace and ball movement Toole / Florimo / Rea / Larson / and outside backs played well when they got the ball and flanked the magpie umbrella defence Great to see Kiss playing 1st grade
