NORTHSEAKAYAK - P&H workshop & Pyranha factory

After unwrapping a new sea kayak we found a golden ticket…. Euh, well, sort of. We were invited by the P&H team to visit the P&H Workshop and the Pyranha Factory. An offer we could not refuse! We travelled up to the UK by car and spent two days with the team, immersing ourselves into everything that happens behind the scenes before a sea kayak is ready to go to its owner. We were enlightened on how a composite kayak is built in the P&H Workshop, with all the fine details. The same for the polyethylene range in the Pyranha Factory. Our respect and awe grew even more when we saw how much time and energy is being spent in development and testing, even before we saw how much craftmanship goes into production. Have a look over our shoulder and join us on this on this remarkable and unique visit!

Dit is toch ècht wel zéér interessant ! Zo tof dat jullie dit konden live meemaken. Elke dag leer je bij he en zo weet je ook dat er een gans proces zit achter jullie "materiaal" voor je geliefde hobby.

Blij dat je het leuk vindt! We waren mega vriendelijk onthaald, en de video dekt maar een deeltje van de lading. We konden helaas niet alles filmen, gezien we niets van de uitleg wouden missen. Tot heel binnenkort! 🤗🤗🤗

Dankjewel! Ja hoor, de nummer 1 onder de Britse zeekajaks! En voor elk wat wils, ze bouwen zowel composiet als kunststof kajaks. Het was zeer interessant!👌👌

@@Northseakayak Ik ken ze eigenlijk voornamelijk van de wildwater kajaks. Ikzelf wil eens een hele andere kajak preberen de Pakayak Bluefin 142 omdat deze zo makkelijk mee is te nemen in de auto op vakantie. Ik zag dat ze nu te koop zijn in een shop bij Rotterdam. Alleen ik weet niet ik ik er stabiel mee kan varen vanwegen een defect evenwicht. Ik heb nu een 74cm breede recreatieve kajak en dat gaat goed. op vlak water zoals de Bieschbosch, dan gaan de kampeerspullen en eten mee. Geen eenwicht is best een handycap, je moet eerst het wiel opnieuw uitvinden als je wegvaart, voelen hoe de kajak reageert op bewegingen hoe ver kan je gaan zonder om te gaan. Het komt wel eens voor dat ik na 100 meter ineens om lig 🤣. Best eng maar ik laat het me niet tegenhouden. De zee op is een te grote uitdaging voor mij denk ik.

Oei, dat is minder ivm je evenwicht. Best es uittesten vóór je iets koopt. De meeste handelaars hebben daar niets op tegen hoor .

That could be a very expensive factory tour. Did you Put in an Order whilst you where there? I will eventually be looking at an P&H Scorpio HV. I am Currently in a Wavesport Hydra as my first boat.

Haha, I need to win the lottery! First of all to buy a hangar, and secondly to fill it with boats!🤪 We went home with a Leo and a surf/playboat, and we could test a secret prototype which we hope we can share later on. You can't miss with a Scorpio! Just be sure about the sizing, try before you buy if possible. Cheers!

@@NorthseakayakI know that one. To have all that we desire in forms of hobbies we do need a lot of money and storage. Size wise with the Scorpio I am already dictated by my size. Being on the tall and not very flexible with age and Arthritis, means the bigger the cockpit is the easier it is for me to get in and out off. Which is what lead me to my current boat. Enjoy the Prototype and fingers and toes crossed you’re allowed to share what it is. As not all prototypes make it to production. The fact that they have allowed you to test it, I would take as a good indication that it will become a production boat.
