I feel her pain, you trust a dentist to install an implant then you find out they F up, and now you need to spend more money and more pain to correct it. and the first dentist is not liable for any of it. should be a law against this.
@jensz9360Ай бұрын
She should use the new dentists evaluation as the basis of a malpractice suit on the dentist who messed her up and then subpoena this dentist as an expert who can testify to the malpractice. He money would be better spet on an attorney than to use it to try and correct all the damage. A good attorney would get her paina nd suffering and withe the court decision if in her favor she would be able to pay for repairs to make her whole again.
@michaelcerda164326 күн бұрын
Yeah but good luck getting this dentist to testify the first dentist f’d up. Even with cases that are worse than this it’s not typical to hear another dentist or doctor admit that another one screwed up. In court under other at least. What they will say in an office to a patient might not be the same thing they will testify to in court under oath.

@@jensz9360The main problem with dental malpractice suits is getting a “dental specialist” to testify against the bad dentist. Many refuse to say anything negative about shoddy dentistry & they’re a tight group. Without a testifying specialist, no suit can continue & lawyers know this. Plus, she’ll have to pay upfront those high suit costs. Dentistry is not same as medical malpractice . ADA still refuses to accept Medicare bc they don’t want to discount their pricing. Many of best dentists do not take insurance, except for great Hollywood insurance . Elite athletes get good dentistry but also have lots of $$ too to pay cash.

So the best solution is to pull them all, and start again with implants? What an ordeal this poor woman has to go through physically and financially.
@mistycmcana95320 күн бұрын
this is not accurate, with this pictures you are not able to see where the implant is , where the attachment is, there could be a easy solution the problem here is the dentist that are making this video have not really that much experience with allon 4 or all on six, this case its an easysolve. any prosto with 10 year experience on all on four can just unscrew the whole thing and fabricate 3 prototipes in one appointment and from there , start all over again witht he prostodontic parto only not the removal of implants yet . even one of the solutions would be to remove only the canine implant depending on the height of the lateral and also the amount of implants already inside, however precise x-rays need to be show to us to be able to analyze this dentist said she needed to know the partsas first step however, thats the least of her problems this case needs to be mounted , on a articulator and evaluate frontal lateral smile desing, do a correct prototype and check phonetics, labial contour , labial smile , dental smile , once you have that you can then decide what needs to be removed or kept.

I feel her pain. I had 11 implants placed almost a year ago, five on top, 6 Lower. I have had so many issues with the top (21 visits to the dentist in 6 months) that I decided to get a second opinion. I believe that part of my issue was that I went to the least expensive person. When the doctor looked at my scans, he was truthful and helped me understand what was wrong. He asked me how much I had already paid and lowered his price without me even asking. All of my implants are about to be removed and replaced. He also called my dentist and spoke to him. I later contacted my dentist and asked him if I could get a refunded for the failing implants. He sent me back every penny and there were no questions. I should have invested more up front and paid more. Now, I am going to be starting completely over. I'm about to go into another 6 months of soft foods, when I could have already been eating steak!

i just got my first surgury for all on 4 last week (they placed 6 implants on my upper jaw) and i got temporary dentures that are not fixed (so its just for esthetics) and i have to take them out at night. in 3 months i get my final set of zirkonia teeth. is this a legit way of doing the surgery? and is it better not to fix the temporary teeth to the implants right away?
@biancabonnie3104Ай бұрын
Why’d you get temporary dentures? Was it because the extractions were done that same day and they wanted to keep pressure off the site
@henrymartin9155Ай бұрын
Sometimes when doing these surgeries if the bone is too soft and you don’t get the ideal torque value for proper stability of the implant, the dentist may not convert your temporary into a fixed one and leave it as a removable so as not to cause failure of implants by the chewing forces. However, I think 3 months is way too soon to get your permanent . At the very least 6 months.

@@henrymartin9155 Yes that’s exactly what happened with mine, the top bones were too soft so they gave me a removable top denture and screwed in the bottom one. It was pretty annoying but it looked fine, and the implants healed nicely

Much safer to not attach the permanent or temporary implants first it's better to let posts heal for 3 months and then place implants because it's cleaner less chance of infection so your dentist did it the right way

This is expertise consulting by Dr. and Prosthodontist. $20K sounds like a pretty low number when doing Top and Bottom arches. Looking at the quality of work one might have guessed. Doing it the right way is always more expensive especially if you do it the cheaper way first.

Yes, US is overpriced and the dentists are greed driven. The sky high prices are caused by insurance companies colluding with greedy dentists and jacking up costs that are passed on to the patient, also its caused by finance companies readily willing to finance medical procedures which causes principle price to go up and then they make interest also on the back end. All damn greed!

Question: what of the FP3 implants fail over time? Can the person wear traditional dentures after the bone has been removed? Are there special dentures that are shorter?

Dentures can be an option or you can start getting into advanced type of implants that are held by other types of bone/tissue… these include zygomatic (cheekbone) implants, pterygoid implants, you can try to do sinus lifting to add more bone, or an old school technique called subperiosteal implants where the implants are held by the periosteum and not the bone. These types of implants are more difficult to place however….
