I have dentures, got them at 70 years old. As much as I hate the dentures, I don't want the maintenance of implants and trips to the dentist without dental insurance . With dentures, you can just soak the dentures and brush the gums. Down side, you lose some food taste , and the bottom plate tends to slide around. Then there's the expense of implants, like she said, the cost of a new car that's always in the garage getting repaired. If I were younger, I would try to go with implants. But for now, it's dentures for me and the occasional trips to the dentist to get my perm dentures realigned. A side note when home I eat soups and soft foods without having my dentures in. I am happy for the pretty young lady, braving her story and getting implants.

I had a very successful, full-arch FP-1 procedure performed in Texas 3 months ago. I'm currently in my temporary prostheses and will receive my permanent, zirconia implant bridges next month. I was originally scheduled to have All-on-4 performed in my home state but became dissatisfied with the proposed procedure when I was informed about the amount of healthy gum & bone that was going to be removed in order to make room for the All-on-4 abutments and prostheses. Personally, I couldn't be happier with my decision.
@kpopbillionaire3 ай бұрын
Kindly explain why need to remove bones? Some patients get bone grafting but why remove in your case? Or you mean remove bone from other area and put in the area to do implant?
@chiptreks3 ай бұрын
@@kpopbillionaire The All-on-4 procedure requires a certain amount of your jawbone (upper and lower) to be removed in order for the prostheses to fit. This results in the need for the fake gums you see on the All-on-4 dentures. All-on-4 dentists refer to this as "smoothing", but in reality, it is removal of approximately 1/2 inch of bone and gum tissue from your upper and lower jaw. The FP-1 procedure I chose preserved all my bone and gum tissue which resulted in a much more natural result and prostheses with no fake gums.
@johnverlooy67573 ай бұрын
@@kpopbillionaire No they cut away a large portion of your gums and bone to have a clean slate to work with because it is much easier to work with and they need a large opening to insert the massive pieces of zirconia

@@jaydenp4975I had my consultation, start up today with Dr. Randy Robert’s. I’m getting the surgery next Monday. I’ve been following this 3 on 6 invention since the very beginning. There is NOTHING else like it. And aside from having your natural teeth, i couldn’t imagine anyone else coming up with anything better in the future. I flew in to see Dr. Robert’s because he was only 1.5 hours away and you can’t get better than going to the creator of the procedure. It is quite costly…. But, how much is your life worth to you? Your health, happiness, quality of life? Every other option will in the long run, end up costing you so much more money, they are much more invasive or will over time be detrimental to the health of your mouth and bone. If you are thinking about it, do it. Get a consultation at least. Consultations are free and they offer them through zoom, you would just need to provide a panoramic photo of your mouth.

Can you discuss difference between Zirconia vs. Porcelain teeth on implants? I was told with Porcelain that you have to wear a mouth guard while sleeping? No mouth guard required with Zirconia?
@jaydenp4975Ай бұрын
Quote from a local dentist to do the 3 on 6 is 55k. I know it’s expensive but look at what it entails. The experience the dentist surgeon has and the complexity of the whole process cannot be cheap. It’s a surgery and those teeth and life changing. Not only for looks but so people can eat and enjoy the foods they want and be healthier. I’m saving for my procedure now and cannot wait. I’m so excited.

Just had my consultation/start up with Dr. Robert’s today. Both arches 45k. They also do financing.. but they require 5k an arch upfront.. so I did have to come up with that.. and then was approved for a 30k loan, so had to pay the remaining 5k as well... so it was 15k upfront and my payment will be 600$ a month.

All on 4 is a quicker and least technical way for dentists to make money. It requires less skill with a faster turn over. Preserving bone is most essential and yet dentists are happy to take out your bone. Why dont they perform bone grafts and gum augmentation if they really cared about their patients.

One place I went for consultation in FL, New Teeth Now, say you leave day of surgery with a full set of Zirconia (not temp plastic) implants, so you can eat solid foods within a couple of days, and they look more natural. Then in six/eight months when gums settle down you go back for permanent set of implants. They say, with Zirconia implants, you do not have to wear a mouth guard while sleeping, like required with Porcelain. They offered both All-On-Four or solid bridge implants with no fake gums (more expensive), like what you are calling 3-on-6…. except one solid piece implant. Choice seems to matter how thick your gums are and how much natural gum is between teeth?

I had my implant and zirconia crown done 8 moths ago and I can say I've gone to a mix of both proceedure. I have 4 implants and a full arch zirconia bridge with no fake gums. in my case it looks more natural and i dont like pinks on my teeth, i also have low lip smile so no gums are showing. I think it's really depend on your gum situation, your implant doctor should very much trained to know what will suit best for you. you should also research and have knowledge on how each proceeddure works so you won't have to regret the outcome. I am very happy with the result and transformation of my new set of teeth. And implant with zirconia is your best bet and a long term investment to summarize all we spent over years of repairs, restoration and frustration.

I spoke with people that had all on 4 and others that had 3 on 6 , I found happy people with both procedures for me personally I decided on the 3on 6 because I was able to keep my own bone and gums instead of it being cut down , also the weight of the zirconia on a all on 4 or 3 on 6 is so much heavier the all on 4 was less expensive then the 3 on 6 so there are pros and cons to both it is a very personal decision sometimes I had the feeling that some dentist were pushing the all on 4 more and I just assume because it is a less complicated surgery just my opinion

I think your choice and observations are spot on. I had consults with 4 clinicians, the first two pushed for All-on-4, which made me suspicious BUT inspired me to become more educated and as a result, I'm happy with my choice of both provider and procedure. If someone is genuinely happy with their All-on-4, who am I to argue.

With the exception of you (which I have already checked out), the biggest problem is the outlandish, unjustified costs in the USA. Then there are the unethical dentists who aren't even experienced enough to justify the costs they want you to incur. If I was going to pay the top astronomical costs that unqualified dentists want to charge.... why wouldn't I go to a orthodontist who specializes in implants (like you doctor)? Instead, I have to go to a DDS that went to a seminar and now performs implants and even Botox. The dental industry greed is fully living up to its reputation. I have seen an interview where you are basically left speechless trying to defend the unqualified others.

Spot on, my friend....however there are a FEW clinicians (like Dr. Choi) in the U.S. that put patient outcome before their own incomes. After a lot of research and my own finances, I chose to have my full upper arch restoration done in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico. I'm paying $18k vs. $32k. How many teeth are on each bridge of an all on 4 or 3 on 6?
@transequitur2 ай бұрын
A typical 3 on 6 provides 3 bridges consisting of 4 "units" each for a total of 12 teeth. All-on-4 also provides for a total of 12 teeth, which as Dr. Choi mentioned has a potential advantage of cross bridge stabilization. For me the main driver was preservation of bone and soft tissue.
