The Royal Navy of 450 years ago, vs the Royal Navy today - which would win? Cannon ball range wasn't very far. Granted it is smaller, but less capable? - ships and subs can fire missiles ffs! smfh Aircraft carrier launches jets and helicopters - again, less capable than 450 years ago? Hell, the single turret on a destroyer would have dealt with the spanish armada. Less capable my arse.

You need 12 general purpose Destoryers with 144 VLS with ratio of 1-3, ASUW and quad packed AAW missiles, at least two turrets of 127mm for drones both airborne and waterborne. 12 City class ASW frigates, 12 AAW frigates with at least 72 VLS and two gun turrets for drones. 24 Sloop/Corvette sized ships for patrolling islands, and narrow waterways like Straits and narrows. Also used to free the combat fleet up taking on the low intensity ops and convoy escort.
