Northwest Las Vegas valley sees growth following closure of station casinos

The Las Vegas valley continues to grow and residents are noticing. One area in particular in the northwest valley has a lot of potential for development as more restaurants and retail outlets start to pop up.

In Mexico. If you remodel your house. You get tax breaks. In the USA, remodel your house, you pay more in taxes. How does that make sense?

​@UrWrong almost every neighborhood in Mexico looks like South Central LA and unfortunately a lot of you guys bring that same energy to Las Vegas.. look at the Mexican neighborhoods.. Glass in the street, kids toys in the street, basketball hoops with no rim or net.. damaged garage doors, damaged, older vehicles that don't pass emissions so they drive em around illegally.. broken windows, trash on the lawn, little dogs running around with no leash, loud music from a dollar store boombox until 3am.. you guys ruin every neighborhood you pack into and wonder why Mexico offers tax credits to remodel your home?! It's because Mexicans aren't taking care of their communities like we do here in the USA.

Lame ducks Just what the people need. More over price/unaffordable homes in the city. If the city really wants to make a difference, lower the cost of the lots/land. A new home shouldn't cost any more than 275,000. Trust me, developers would still make a good profit off of that. 3 bedroom 2 car garage. 275,000. Lower the cost of homes.

That shopping center used to have a large Smiths super market. When they were closing the employees said the store was closing because they couldn't get an agreement on some improvements Smiths wanted. So it's been vacant for several years. And when Smiths left the smaller stores started closing.

In 2000 that parking lot was packed every store open to Maxx kmartdollar tree smith's burger King KFC big lots Susie deals and much much more that hasn't beena profitable center in over 10 years now Goodluck the trailer park and everything passed Cheyenne makes it a great place especially with 30x homeless camps that ha e been there like residence since it closed

Don't be fooled that's not a nice area and it never will be lots of thugs and crime going on over there in addition to all the people who chose that area to save a few thousand dollars on their mortgages lots of nasty transplants as well overall the traffic and stress that come with living around those types of people makes it not worth the price at all. I'd rather live in the heart of Spring Valley where everything is older and dated.
