It was valiant effort by the soloists, I'll give them that. One thing I can recommend is either the soloists drop down a couple steps into a more comfortable range, or just sing it naturally. Stan Rogers didn't do anything fancy with this song, so simpler is better if wanting to stay true-to-form. However, I am impressed with the solo attempts and the chorus overall.

I would have said just have the same soloist throughout, the first guy seemed the most comfortable

Chorus sounds amazing! Phenomenal even! Your soloists could be stronger though; tone, phrasing, and even lyrics need some looking at. Also, with stronger soloists you could cut out all that oo-ing, stay truer to the original.
@brucealanwilson41218 жыл бұрын
The second soloist was a bit above his range. They should either have transposed it about a minor third down or gotten someone else to do it.

@@fiends8908 that does not mean that it follows the same style that defines the song as such. It's the same way that music can be written in the classical or baroque styles today, even though their progenitive eras have already passed. If you can't understand that, I honestly don't see how you can be helped.
