Whitby in North Yorkshire is one of the UK's most visited seaside resorts. It's well-known for its connections with Dracula and Capt Cook, and its bi-annual Goth Weekend event. But, the town is steeped in an amazing amount of fascinating history.
In this video I explore five of its less well-known subjects, all linking back to the brilliant Whitby Museum (@whitbymuseum7882). There's tales of local folklore and witchcraft, as well as significant connections to World War 2 and the birth of palaeontology.
