I was practicing at Brands in 1988 and Trevor Nation and Co turned up. They were so quick the organisers had to stop the open practice and do it by engine size. He came passed me on the top straight like I was standing still. Incredible machines.

Had to smile at those old codgers deep in conversation when the bike was started, they never flinched or paid any interest, how strange. I’d have stopped any conversation and bowed down to such a symphony.

I remember MOD police riding these Norton Wankels when I was stationed in the UK from 86 - 90. This is super great example of what can be done with them. Interesting sound.

Great stuff ! - Fantastic sound, like most of us older motorcyclists today I'm lucky to be old enough to have seen and heard the JPS Norton race version ridden in anger by the likes of Trevor Nation and Steve Spray.. I've always been a Norton fan and I bought my Commando around that time (still have it today..) - I have to admit the old British stiff-upper-lip quivered a bit with pride when 'White Charger' ridden by Steve Hislop won the 1992 Senior TT..

Any rotary motorcycle has a very distinct exhaust note and there aren't many people who have ridden a rotary motorcycle well l have my brothers Suzuki RE5 l had a GT750 and so much quicker so l never challenged my brother to drag race because l know what the result would be and my brother used to blow of Honda CB750s
