For some ports, the ship cannot actually dock at the port for various reasons (too big, etc.). For those ports, the ship anchors just a bit offshore and guests board smaller boats that go between the ship and the port. You can see this in our videos about Half Moon Cay and Princess Cays for example. Hope this helps!

Would you say the ship was too crowded to be enjoyable?

Not for us! We had a great time on our cruise! The ship only felt crowded if it was raining during a day at sea. That's when the indoor activities had more people than usual and made it more difficult to find seating.
