We've sailed Norwegian for 10 years. We finished a cruise last November. I was hugely disappointed in the food. The specialty restaurants have replaced the formerly excellent filet mignon with a cheaper and tougher cut of meat. Cagneys Steak House was great, now not so much. All the specialty restaurants cut back. I couldn't eat the filet. Terrible! The buffet is all right, nothing gourmet. Entertainment has been reduced by half. Pool deck entertainment is poor. Used to have 2 bands a day performing. Full bands! Now it's a singer and a keyboard player. The welcome aboard show in the theater is gone. Everything has been reduced. The buffer closes at 9:30 and your left with O'Sheehans which is open 24 hrs, but the food sucks. We have a cruise in May. If they haven't made changes for the good its our last one.

O'Sheehan's closes for a short period between meals for prep. Meals at night have a limited menu. Not sure why the loaded nachos are not available at night. Some other things are missing as well.

Burn the floor when i was on the Getaway was in the theater.

On our cruise, Burn the Floor played in the theatre and showed up in the Manhattan room. We didn't watch the dinner version but based on what we saw in the theatre, it was probably a really good show.

I guess you and Paul noticed that both of you being Platinum that the perk for Platinum is not given to both Platinum in the same room. Seems a breech of contract to have two individuals reach Platinum level latitudes and if you are the only Platinum in a room you get 2 Specialty dinners for 2, but with 2 Platinum level latitudes members in the same room they only give the sane 2 Specialty dinners. So it is a false perk that they don't honor for both if you both are in the same room! Sone say it's always been that way, but if I did the 11 cruises to get the Platinum level and the other person in the same room did 11 cruises to get to Platinum neither of us should be stripped of our perk 2 Specialty dinners!

Hi! And right you are. As soon as we realized that we would not each receive our perks we made certain that we were registered to two different rooms so that we could both get our stated rewards for being Platinum.

@familytravelpursuits8318 if the person I cruise with gets a separate room so we both get our Platinum perks we would pay for a Studio cabin and the cost would negate getting the perks. Even the so-called solo category rooms are more money by at least $100! I know that because I booked an inside room to see what it costs and when I asked what a Studio cabin was I got it at $100 less than the inside room. Remember also that a Studio cabin Platinum perk is only 2 single Specialty dinners.

Hello Robert. Yes that does sound prohibitive and if it were just the two of us traveling we certainly would not have gotten the two rooms. As a family that needed the extra space that was unwilling to pay Haven prices on that trip we went with the two cabins and under the circumstances split our reservation to maximize the perks.

Norwegian has gone downhill! Our last cruise in November, they replaced the formerly great filet mignon with a crappy cut of meat. Entertainment reduced 50%. Buffet closes at 9:30 pm and your left with crappy food at O'Sheehans, which is open 24 hrs. The buffet is decent, don't expect ANYTHING gourmet. Very dissatisfied with Norwegian. We've cruised with them 10 years. We have a cruise in May. If it's still the same its our last one with Norwegian.

Hi Jenna, I’m sorry to hear that you did not have a good time on this ship. I mentioned in the Universal video in this series that I had the best meal at Mythos in the park on this trip. Even with that said there were a few bright spots on the ship Shanghai’s was one. It was hard to get into but very good. I thought the main shows especially Burn the Floor was great. Million Dollar Quartet you have to be okay with the songs from that era to really enjoy it but I thought that was a solid show. Some of the other entertainment especially the comedians were hit or miss for us. Thanks for watching and joining the conversation!

Agree completely. We have been cruising for many years and on many cruise lines. Just spent 2 weeks on this thing. It was our worst, most boring cruise ever. Nowhere to sit and hang out unless you are a big drinker. Nothing to do except stupid games. Never never Norwegian again.
