Lovely film, I stayed near Trondheim this year on the fjord, absolutely loved it. Its wonderful to see the water in the winter, I'm not sure when I'll be back, but I will return. Thank you for reminding me about the beauty of Norway.

Cool - you should really do that - I sailed through Scotland in 2015 on my way home from a longer trip. Caledonian canal - Orchney Islands - Shetland - Bergen :) Very nice trip.

That was with motor (the one in the video) - we usually calculate one and a half day across with sail...depends on direction :)

Well...hardest maybe mid-winter december - february...but still Norway have a very sheltered coast so you can go boating year round :)

We have the longest coastline in the world - if stretched out it would reach 2.5 times around the planet :) It's mostly sheltered and cultivated/populated with citys, marinas and natural harboring/anchorages. You can cruise a lifetime and still have ground unexplored :)

Well I did start out simpler/cheaper...for me it's a life commitment...and also my "work" - I think most can have a exciting maritime life-set somehow - if you go all in ;) Follow your dreams - a boat is just a tool for following mine - they sometimes come quite costly....but sometimes the less expensive tools get the job done as well :)

People with "stick boats" sometimes have the stick - you know where. Ha! Smart by half. You have a trawler, and you are sailing, and obviously, you are sailing solo in this one! So how did you learn? And how many videos have you made before? The videography is very professional and it caught my attention. There is one I really like called, "Sailing the Wrong Way Across the Caribbean" (I think the boat is "Sea Change"). I have watched it a dozen times, but now your videos are catching up...they don't have your eyes! Haha, hope to see more.

Thanks for your kind words :) - I've had boats since childhood...it's in my blood I guess...this yacht was named after my grandfathers old freighter. I also have lived onboard yachts for 12 years...and the boat I had before this one was a 47 feet sailboat (stickboat) - which I also sailed solo often. A trawler make more sense in our region as a year-round cruiser - and also winds are very unstable in the fjords - which makes it a less reliable way to cruise from A to B and just more rig/deck-equipment to maintain...but it's very fun for regattas and ocean-crossing :) I will try post more videos in the future. Fair winds and following seas!! ⚓️
