I grew up in minus 50 Saskatchewan Canada. Only closed the schools if a windchill on top of the minus 50!!I walked over 2 miles a day in that plus ice skating later. ❄️⛄️

We visited our son & his wife in Sweden this past summer. A beautiful country. We plan to visit again next year, but we plan to go in the winter. I so look forward to a blustery , wintery week as we don't get very much snow where we live any more.

Until 2.15 min. - Absolutely gorgeous colours soft orange, pink, red... when sun is setting ! It requires a lot of courage waking up at night by minus 25 to test the engine ! You were lucky, it started ! And also lucky getting the help of (a kind of) Ice Road Rescue. Your case was quite innocent, I've seen on tv very serious accidents with big trucks. Having been "the good Samaritan" you had "to pay" for your charity and courtesy.... And the best way to warm up the body is... a large mug of hot and strong.... COFFEE !

You definitely have a v-e-r-y equipped van for this really cold/windy weather. Having Truma Combi water/air heater installed was a smart, smart decision. Keeping gas tank & propane tanks full is almost as important as keeping yourself fully supplied with Coffee. 39:00; good explanation of WHY you chose/use the Truma Combi 4 water/air heater instead of a diesel. 1:00:00 - enough for now. Will continue watching later today. 1:13:16; Those red clouds are magnificent. 1:23:21; Moving too far over for a car to pass - your van is leaning precipitously. 2:43:15; Your -35ºF Western Mountaineering Sleeping bag will keep you comfy cozy if you were outside in a tent. WM sleeping bags are THE BEST, & are conservative in their low temperature ratings. I'm outta here for tnoight. More tomorrow Sunday (27Oct) - - I sent my WM Antelope (5ºF) to 'WM on Friday for an overfill which will take it down to a 0ºF rating. Should have it back in a couple of weeks. 2:51:43; Space heater to the rescue to heat the battery. Deep sigh of relief that your battery is now accepting a charge. Movie producers would fight over your storm footage if they could acquire it to include in their movies. I like the summary at the end of this video, of things you've learned from this adventure. Those immense snow-landscapes under a sunny sky are so amazing. Gorgeous colours by sunrise and sunset ! Those frozen trees make me think of the snow-sceneries in the film Doctor Jivago. Beautiful ! The few houses we see along the road are so isolated, their inhabitants must have a life of continuous previsions, adaptations, protections, they must be hardened to keep on during half a year of extreme freezing temperatures.... I didn't know winter in the south of scandinavia seems to be almost as rough as in the north (my impression can be wrong)...

I usually watch your adventures in eve, after work is done. I had the most amazing dream of skiing ! I felt and experienced every single detail . After about 30 feet , picking up speed on the hard bumpy slick snow on an incline I woke up. On my bed . So sad it took me by surprise . But as time goes, I am not sad I feel lucky . Thank you
