So much history by Norwich City Hall and the nearby buildings that seen the busy mills of times past. When you ever visit City Hall, Chestnut Street is best for parking to avoid downhill curbside locations, like on Church Street by the former Otis Library(across from City Hall). Perfect timing Tom with the fire truck answering a call and the ringing of the time clock bells♥. The empty mills always make me think of what was once a busy and prosperous time for many companies in Norwich. My late father would talk to me of the Great Depression days, but the mills keep people employed so families could put food on the table to survive☺Another excellent video Tom, here the past and present meet, bringing out the true beautiful of good ole Norwich, CT☺Sincerely, Bill M., Uncasville, CT

@@discgolfbilly Bill…..I would love to see that large mill on Chestnut Street converted to apartments. Just like they did in Taftville at Ponemah Mills. That would really turbocharge things in the city.

Another nice video, Tom! I love the inside shot of the abandoned mill; if only the walls could talk.

You sure do know how to film at different angles I almost do not recognize the location you are filming from. I looked at the type of camera you use on ebay. Some are less expensive than brand new cameras. Nice video. Thanks for sharing!

@@jonathanmessore1907 Thank you Jonathan. I did take a walk up there. It’s very interesting. I’ll be doing a video of it soon. My wife is going to do the narration.

Was that your cameo appearance beginning at 4:43? If so I think it's your first!
