Nosepass:
nosepass (japanese: ノズパス nosepass) is a rock-type pokémon introduced in generation III. it evolves into probopass when leveled up in a special magnetic field or when exposed to a thunder stone. nosepass is a blue, angular, hard bipedal pokémon that closely resembles a moai. its bright red, triangular nose is highly magnetic and slightly resembles a 3d arrow. this nose functions as an electromagnet and always points north. it has arms and legs without any visible joints and small, circular holes on the undersides. its arms resemble compass needles. it has similar circular holes on the sides of its head. its eyes, covered by dark, somewhat mask-like markings, have the appearance of being closed. nosepass cannot go near others, since it would repel them with its magnetic nose. its magnetism is stronger in cold seasons. to protect itself when in danger, it raises its magnetism and draws iron objects to its body. this technique is also used to capture prey, though it can pull natural enemies close too. because it always points north, nosepass has historically been used as a compass for travelers. nosepass only moves a little over 3/8 of an inch each year, but can quickly spin its body into the ground like a drill during emergency situations. it lives in caves. metang are natural predators of nosepass.
Toucan Sam:
toucan sam is the cartoon toucan mascot for froot loops breakfast cereal. the character has been featured in advertising since 1963. he exhibits the ability to smell froot loops from great distances and invariably locates a concealed bowl of the cereal while intoning, "follow your nose! it always knows!", sometimes followed by "the flavor of fruit! wherever it grows!" another version of this phrase in a string of commercials in the late-2000s presents the character at the end of the commercials saying "just follow your nose!", followed by his nephews retorting, "for the fruity taste that shows!" toucan sam became the mascot for froot loops cereal in 1963. the cartoon character was created by manuel r. vega and originally voiced by mel blanc, using an ordinary american accent. blanc's original commercials were noted for their use of pig latin (referring to the cereal as oot-fray oops-lay). the ad agency later decided to switch to the british accent more commonly associated with the character. they then employed paul frees to do what is, in effect, an imitation of ronald colman. after the death of paul frees, toucan sam's voice was performed by maurice lamarche (1986-2021), then matthew curtis for a single spot in 2020. in july 2021, toucan sam was re-designed and re-cast as a friendly and wise british accented voice - a role filled by voice actor colin cassidy.

This was recommended to me yesterday, and I must say, this was well-made. The choice of a beat that could fit a rainforest environment. I also appreciate the (tribal) percussive beginning of Nosepass’s first verse, which may or may not connect with it being based on the Easter Island moai monoliths. I also really like some of the visual touches such as the recreation of a Froot Loops box and Nosepass transforming into an actual moai statue. I also appreciate how this was written, and the connection of blue tropical characters that are centered around “following one’s nose” is a good connection for these two. As for who I thought won, this is a win for Nosepass. It was rather even for the first two rounds, but the final round made the win in favor with things like the “follow your nose” and Defense stat-Froot Loops price juxtapositions and the minimum wage-maximum waste diss. Good job, Jacob! And one last thing: here are some Pokémon (and human characters within the franchise) that I think could make for some interesting potential in rap battles (assuming they haven’t been used yet): -Blue and/or Gary Oak -Tauros -Brock -Ampharos -Tyranitar -any of the Hoenn starters -the Togepi line -the Gible line -Cynthia -Cyrus -Ghetsis and/or N -Zebstrika -the Fennekin line (my idea is that Fennekin would evolve sometime within the first two rounds each, also, props if you get ThatAdorableFox to voice it) -Gogoat -Sylveon (my favorite Pokémon) -either Lillie, Lusamine, or Gladion -Chairman Rose -Volo I honestly don’t know which opponents would make the most sense for each, so I’m going to let others decide on them.

And here's the thing: I love cereal! And there were and could be Kelloggs' cereal straws, including Froot Loops. And there were cereal premiums (some found in cereal boxes or on cereal boxes; some bought by mail). I had two mail-in premiums: a Trix surprise bag in 2014 and in 2007, I had a Zoo Tycoon CD by mail, when I was a kid. fair point but here's the thing, and only people who actively make rap battles would truly understand this: if I were to use Toucannon, it would be a samey matchup, it would also limit the amount of material that I could diss each character on. Thinking outside of the box like this allows more creative opportunities. Because now I'm bringing more opportunities with rocks, noses, rock vs flying, etc..
