I actually made a Nosfuratu that I named Medusa, unaware of the one that technically already exsisted 😂 at least they're nothing alike outside of being apart of the same clan. Her flesh is chipping off, and she has a level 3 animalism with the swarm ability...she has spiders living in her lungs which she summons to go get information for her or to crawl on someone to freak them out (whether it's for a distraction or to stun them in a fight depends on the situation)...it's so disturbing and I frggn love her.

Love Clan Nosferatu. They have an interesting lore and so much possibilities for player characters. Plus in VTMB the Nosferatu npcs are among my favorites. I just love Gary and wished, he had more content. And of course Mitnick, who was such a welcome sight after 5 levels of Tzimisce abominations trying to kill you. And Bertram Tung, they guy who knows so much, but has a soft spot for a certain Malk (I always tell him, the Voermans secret, he deserves a chance). I don't care nearly as much for Nines or Jack as I do for most Nossis in the game (apart from Imalia, who is too spietful for my taste). Great video, as always. I would love a Tzimisce clan video next, apart from malks and Nossis, Tzimisce are my favorite clan.

My current theory is that Jack was the childe of a 4th generation brujah, it would explain how he knows so much and how he even knows Caine, as he shows up behind Jack in the final cutscene of VtMB1. Or hes possibly the childe of an antediluvian, like direct childe sired by Brujah, it would explain why he's against the anarchs, camarilla and sabbat, he only sides with the anarchs because of what they believe, freedom for kindred, common sense etc.

That controversial V5 costume look art was concept art for the canceled World of Darkness MMO drawn by real fashion designers who imagined these designs on real runway models. One of the ambitions the skeleton crew at CCP had was to design a fashion line, that would not only be purchasable digitally through the MMO’s microtransactions but physically for real life wear. (They also made many of the articles of clothing that were featured in game.) It was way too ambitious but had pretty much no funding or support from CCP who were more concerned about resuscitating EVE Online and making gimmicks like Project Valkyrie and Dust 514 and would reassign WoD Online’s skeleton crew to work on those projects instead.

I seem to recall the Niktuku had two important differences from the Nosferatu beyond just their need for vampiric Vitae. 1. They aren't ugly, but rather inhumanly beautiful. As they grow older and their blood more potent, they gradually become more and more inhuman in visage until they're no longer recognizably human. 2. The Niktuku are picky about havens, as they *loathe* the underground, and won't haven anywhere they can't see the moon as they leave. Ever.

@@777malkavian not necessarily, the Tzimisce have many different forms, the newer bloods are less monstrous, only retaining the monstrous personality and sadistic natures. The beauty of them is that as long as you're sadistic and into reshaping the body or using it in demonic and devilish displays you're Tzimisce potential.

I know this is a two year old comment but Max Schreck wasn't really a method actor. He wore the costume and stuff on set but he didn't act like the character outside of filming. There is a biography of him (Max Schreck: Gespenstertheater written by Stefan Eickhoff) that talks about him answering questions from journalists on set, while still wearing his costume and all.

My favorite Nosferatu I've seen in videogames: Barabus, Gary Golden, The Underprince Nosferatu are one of the most interesting clans. *Future clans I'd love to see clan videos of:* 1. The Nosferatu is a clan is such a playful clan who often gets misunderstood. I loved playing as a Nosferatu in Bloodlines on my first playthough and I love Samuel in Redemption. I wish one of the archetypes for Nosferatu was the self loather. It’s like the spite one, except they feel/felt a connection to being a monster. Perhaps they were part of the subjugated groups. They were transformed to put make the monster people believed was there. Or, I suppose, a twisted understanding of liberation from self loathing.

The part about the living in water in the past is pretty interesting, in the Czech republic, there are Vodníci, who live in bodies of water and take the souls of the ones who drown there. But there are some stories of them being relatively friendly, doing stuff, like saving children from drowning and returning lost items. Some even known for drinking a lot of beer. interesting, with how VtM vampires are not able to consume anything but blood.

I hope Bloodlines 2 will have a DLC that allows you to play as a Nosferatu pretty early. In Bloodlines 1, after I first played as a Nosferatu, the other clans just didn't feel entirely right anymore.

Great video. And I think another reason why Nosferatu maintain strong ties with with their antitribu, is because they understand that Absimiliard seeks to destroy all of them regardless of sect. So whether you're hiding out in the Camarilla or taking the fight to your antideluvian among the Sabbat, your fellow Nossies know you're just doing what you must to survive. And Nosferatu are above all else, survivors per excellence.

One thing for sure : Paradox ows me - Kiki ! Now , the Nosferatu... A Toreador once came up with the idea , that Nosferatu are rather supposed to be those beautiful creatures of the night . Delightfully to look at . Where the roads are unlit .These sharp fangs that look much like wild deformed coastlines or a helpless attempt of opening a can of tuna fish . This calm and ( sometimes ) moody voice , that ressonates with a slight moisty tone , cummulating out of a deformed throat . The classy and urban chic of trenchcoats drowned in single malt whiskey ( or even : the smell of single malt whiskey itself ) , a piece of rags , having the color of whatever it was Rory Gallagher wanted to hide ... from anyones naked eyes ( during the days he still was learning to play the guitar , well , he tried ). Story goes someone managed to open this rusty gate and the Toreador finally ran into ... Bertram ! She approached .That ´s when the joyeous sound of accusations echoed from inside of this this ol ´ water plant reservoire , for she literally shrieked out so loud , even the rats left this place with a somewhat intimidated impression on their furry little faces . The cherry blossom smell of her 90$ - Versace perfume had ran sour , almost instantly . It was a crying shame . " Look , bitch " ... Bertram said . " I don ´t know if this is of any interest any longer , but I am not like ... reveiling all of my inner beauty , oh - no - no . Mostly all of you Toreadors seem to be most prominently gifted with a inner beauty , or such thing , but ... - how about you trying to ask some Sabbat freak , for that matter ? Then , both decided to smoke a cigarette and eventually fell in love , spending cheerful moments within a cloud of a never fading viagra haze (purple) .Yeah ! No , just kidding . Last time I saw one of these Nosferatu pricks ( I think , I saw one , maybe ) he was all like : " Maaan , how I wish I could go back to those good old days where everyone was in need of a 1st person shooter related game , in order to get rid of me . In fact , some Nosferatu was even trying to introduce me to his mad plans of hiding inside of a loot box coffin . For a couple of decades . Surely comes along with , I mean , has ... some comforts . Next question please -> ( HOW about : Is Ventrue clan the manifestation of altruistic deeds and , after all - why exactly ... have or has the Sabbat quit on selling Dolce and Gabbana underwear , at midnight , on 5th Ave ? ) p.s. Don ´t punch me , I actually preferred to play Tremere ( VtM1 , not : table top ) It comes in naturally , I guess . But then , I simply do like the Nosferatu clan , *especially* the lore side ( Oh , Imalia ) So that ´s why I ow them a favor . With this said ^^ : The Nosferatu npc implied in this new thing , they do not even look like Nosferatu any more , no way . I.m.o. - Nosferatu still represent one of the most classic vampires , at least visually . That's where it came from. Schreck means "terror." Shrek the character was a terror from/in the swamp.

I have read a few of the clan books and as I mentioned above, while some of them are quite well thought out, others just seem like the designers felt they just wanted to round up the number of clans to 13 for the drama of the number.

I've had this thought bouncing around in my head and I just can't shake it, and since it directly relates to VTM, well, I thought of you. :-) Anyway ... Do Nosferatu sleep? At least to me, it's a legitimate question. For most kindred, this is an obvious thing. "Oh, look, it'll soon be dawn. Better head back to the ole' coffin before I turn into a bonfire." Simple and direct. But for the Priors, it's a bit trickier. Existing predominantly underground, they would have no real concept of day and night, unless they have as a clan benefit a celestial attunement much like the True Bruja do, which I've never seen. Probably the dumbest question you'll get all week,but it's just the most fascinating thought to me. Then again, it's what I do best.

Can we get the clan with no reflections next? Lasombra, pretty please? You can skip the cosplay/makeup with this clan. ;) One other thing: I saw on your twitter that some people...didn't like the content because...reasons. I hope that these trolls and haters won't discourage you to make more of these videos. As a small "creator" myself (hobby twitch streamer) I know how hard is it to entertain/inform/inspire people. Creators gives fans one of the most valuable thing they can: their time. Instead of spending more time with your family, friends or pets, even working on your game; you spend hours researching, script writing, editing. I really hope in VTMB2 they make the Nosferatu/ unseen actually look ugly. It'd be cool to look similar to Slug as we saw in the demos or like the Nosferatu in VTMB1. I'm hoping i'll be able to join them in the game.

L C I've been racking my brain over that question myself. so many of the clan are so great it's hard to decide. since gangrel probably won't be in the game at launch I can't do my original plan of playing a gangrel in honor of poor erik. I love malkavians but I'm afraid of being spoiled. I love nosferatu but again not in the game at launch and their probably ruined anyway. I love brujah but that feels like the most basic clan possible and I usually like to be more unique rather than going with the basics. not ventrue. their cool but but I don't want to be . embraced by a snoody douche my first play through. tremere is one of the strongest contenders. their blood magics might be cool to play with and I wouldn't have the same problem as malkavian with possible spoilers. toredor isn't likely unless character creation is really good. I'd consider them if I could make my own little female piece oftoredor eye candy. ultimately the choices are just to good. but that's just a mark of good writing for the clans I guess.

I did wonder how they were going to make hacking and sneaking around work in a cosmopolitan city in 2020. The suspension of disbelief can only stretch into the 2000s, I feel, before it just drops off (I think a Nos in Seoul or mainland China which are both wired to the teeth in CCTV would have a real bad time). On the flip side, roleplaying as one could be more fun and interesting than it has been for years as we explore new ways Nosferatus would live and thrive in a metropolis this decade and into the future... Also I think changing things so *merely being seen by a human isn't an automatic violation of the Masquerade* was an interesting move to change things up, as well as saying that most young vampires working for the Nos faction in Seattle now are iournalists and engineers! I just love how they've really thought through and updated VtM to fit the new decade and hope people don't shit on VtmB2 too much because it's "not VtmB1."

They’re still out there, although it’s hard to say how many. With the collapse of the Tremere pyramid, they’re probably safer from persecution than they’ve been in centuries. They still have a bad rep, but there are fewer elders around to lie about how they all worship demons or whatever. With the Second Inquisition closing in, it’s hard to turn down a pocket healer even if you don’t trust them.

I was wondering what was going on with their Antedivulian. . .man, imagine having a "father" who wants to out-and-out NUKE you. *shakehead* And yeah, that hacking of Schreknet must have been a major embarrassment for the clan. . .at least they're still surviving, and doing their best to bounce back! i am bran new to Vampire masquerade sorta. I went to join the Seattle nights server but failed to make a character but i was gonna make a Nosferatu who was gonna be Pretty much a bum who Predator type was consensual while having high animalism skills for hunting rats. Creation got a little bit over my head tho so left it but loving these videos and its nice to know there is rpg groups about it.

​@@t.va.6611 Clan Lasombra can't cast reflections or atleast appear distorted. Clan Nosferatu look monstrous. Both have to psychologically deal with their appearance and also make sure they are not seen as such in public lest they endanger the masquerade. As for a Ventrue copycat, that is just an insulting stereotype. Every clan has one but the truth about all the clans is different from what their stereotypes proclaim. Even so, a typical Ventrue will give orders and have everyone else do their bidding. This comes from their use of dominate and presence. A typical Lasombra only has dominate, so if they want shit done then either they do it themselves or manipulate events behind the shadows to enact their schemes. This is coupled with the fact that they have reflection issues, their powers are terrifying and deadly to both others and themselves and there is clan infighting because every Lasombra wants power for the sake of obtaining power and not for some greater goal. The Lasombra deal with lovecratian forces beyond their control and the abyss takes its toll on them mentally , physically and spirtually and so they are intertwined in mysticism, the Ventrue don't deal with this. The Lasombra are typically all rounders and over achievers and their disciplines cover physical-potence, mental-dominate and spiritual-obtenebration spheres. They can lead like the Ventrue, hide like the Nosferatu, fight like the Brujah, are perfectionists like the Toreadors, embrace their beast like the Gangrel, are unpredictable like the Malkavian and command a terrifying power like the Tremere. They are jack of all but master of none except obtenebration. So they have some of every clan in them and not just Ventrue.

They are a ruling class, and they are very picky in terms of embracing which makes them low in numbers, plus all the inclan/insect rivalry does no good. In one of the gehenna scenarios they had to suck it up and admit their weakness before ventrue just to survive. Personally i think they are just poorly flashed out as a clan concept.

The answer to clan Nosferatu is still nobody deserves that fate, an eternity of being a social outcast that will only get worse as medicine solves more problems, let alone kindred need interaction with kine and other kindred to help control the beast. If you want to be a master of tech you'd be better off as a Ventrue, Tore, or Tremere running a tech/social media company. If you want to be a great assassin your better off as a Banu or a stealthy Gangrel. If you want to horde secrets why not cheat and be a Malkavian or be a manipulative Tore. If you want raised out of the slums Brujah and Gangrel would just be better and not being social repulsive would make it easier to cause change to help the group you came from. As for Cleopatras that barbaric practice needs out right banned and its a miracle it hasn't backfired and shattered the Masquerade, and is a better way to make somebody a worse monster than teach a lesson. Not to mention unless your blood is trash your eventually age out of being able to truly sustain yourself on animals.
