Really looking forward to this one. Big fan of the 1922 Nosferatu & Dracula in general. Eggers has earned his place as one of the greatest directors working today. I absolutely adore all of his movies so far most notably "The VVitch" which is one of my all time favourites. I really love the fact all the promotion has kept the appearance of Nosferatu a secret. Such a rare treat to go onto a movie with such mystery surrounding it. Great review Coy!

I won’t spoil who it is either, but the villain Nosferatu… his actor is a natural tenor and had opera vocal training just for this film so that he could lower it an entire octave. He is basically delivering a lower bass profundo vocal performance here. It is truly unrecognizable from his other work. He sounds 60 years older than himself here. Truly incredible vocal performance.

I had an opportuity to watch this at the cinema and the only time they were showing this was 11pm.. and I was the only one at the cinema that time.. so I had the perfect atmosphere to watch this and I loved every seconds of it.

The thing I loved about this movie was how dark it was, but yet how we could still see... Like whatever person or object was in frame was lit, but the rest was dark. I just love the way they were able to make this work and the light tricks they used while also being practical and not overly done. Idk... Like you said it is an oil painting of a film with all the ways they did these shots...

Ive always appreciated Eggers’ aesthetics but this movie ultimately fell flat for me for a lot of reasons. I’m generally not a fan of Bill Skarsgard (he’s not bad, just not scary), but I was impressed with how unrecognizable he was. I wish he was in the movie more instead of cutting back to Depp constantly. I feel like Eggers could’ve lingered in the castle much longer and experience the dread. Honestly, the only scene that really stuck with me was Thomas’ first encounter with Orlok. The 2nd half of the film just draaagged

Nosferatu is the only other movie I've seen that I've been so excited to watch, that I have read the actual book first. That is weird to say given how I have seen many other Dracula adaptations before this one. However, Robert Eggers is one of those directors whose attention to detail and artistic meticulousness is so great, it makes me interested in checking out the sources he pulls from. The only other book I read before seeing the movie was A Clockwork Orange

“NOSFERATU 2024” PIE recipe: In a bowl take “Nosferatu (1922)” and crumble for five minutes. Spread evenly into a pie crust pan. In a large mixing bowl add: One whole Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” 1/2 cup of Anne Rice’s “Interview with the Vampire” and 1/4 cup of “The VVitch”. Blend until smooth. In a saucepan on medium heat melt: 1/2 a stick of old school Cradle of Filth. Stir in a heaping tablespoon of dried Shakespearean tongue, 1.5 teaspoon of Willem Dafoe and a dash of “The Exorcist”. Lower heat and simmer for two minutes. Slowly stir that mixture in with the ingredients in your mixing bowl. Pour the mixture into your prepared crust and chill in the freezer for 15-20mins. Remove from the freezer and sprinkle generously with Carpathian snow and garnish with plagued rat tails into the shape of a heptagram. Now you can slice it into a million pieces and serve to ravenous vampire fans across the nation. Enjoy!

Bub the mustache fits Orlok. Orlok is pretty much Dracula and Dracula had a mustache in the novel and Dracula is Vlad the Impaler. There’s nothing wrong with the mustache. You people just have to do research.

Is it dense? I mean, some scenes drag on but let's be real, it's just Dracula. Nosferatu is the original film adaptation of Dracula. Eggers really just branched Stoker's original design with Murnau's horror but respecting Roma legend.

I loved the movie. Thought the acting was great, atmosphere was gripping and flowed well. I thought Nosferatu was scary but sometimes the CGI moments took me out of it, especially the scene where he was coming out of the coffin which didnt feel as impactful as if it would have been done practically. I didn't enjoy Johny Depp's daughters acting at all and something it felt like she was just a complete narcissist which left no real motivation for Hoults character to go through so much for her. They dont make movies like this these days and I'm appreciative that it was even made. I really enjoyed it.

I would have to say the movie was the best twisted love story I would have to categorize something like beauty and the beast mixed with a demon possession type story they were so captivating the ender of a curse or a lovers embrace depending on the way you look at it. It was something evil, but it was also the ending of that great evil that was pulling the darkness towards the light even in the end death must die it was awfully poetic and all the while Nicholas Holt is getting cucked words cannot properly do justice to how I feel about this movie it’s beyond incredible

Lilly Rose Depp just ruined this film from top to bottom.. she was so bad in it , it was laughafable .. The Vampire was fantastic , his performed was mesmerizing .. I didnt like the lighting at times , it was to dark and foggy , the camera movement was great .. its my fourth favorite Eggers film .. The Witch is his best film , with The Norman as his second best film .. I really like his stuff , but this was his worst film ..

It is rare for me to so loathe a movie… but holy crap this is total and complete garbage. It may be the lowest rated movie I have ever scored and is without a doubt in my top 10 worst movies of all time. My Wife slept through more than half of it, and I was so bored I literally got up and left for 15 minutes. This movie takes the name of one of the earliest and greatest horror films of all time, the silent movie Nosferatu made in 1922, and tarnishes it. Despite its early debut, and being a silent movie, the horror, the story, and the special effects still stand up to this day. This movie tries to siphon off this namesake, but has NONE of greatness, none of the suspense, none of the horror. It's boring, the special effects are literally worse despite being 100 years older, the dialogue is laughable, no emotional pull, pretentious, and it tries and fails to be a deep, meaningful artistic film. Its 2 hours of my life I will never get back, and I hope to never have to view an old, floppy vampire penis again. Screw this piece of garbage and those who made it. William DaFoe, what were you thinking? You are better than this movie. Also its set in Germany… so why does everyone try and speak with an old English Accent? I could go on with everything wrong with it… but I will spare you. My advice, do not bother, not in the theater, not on streaming, not even if it’s totally free. Again, I cannot stress just how much I abhor this movie and just how poorly done it is. You have been warned.
