Rob is correct that you shouldn't assume going into battle that your going to win......BBBBBBBBBBBUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTT there is no way to predict that your about to fight a literal immortal demon either. That would be like walking outside and seeing an alien space craft hovering outside your door, it would completely turn your world view upside down. Guts went in thinking he would be facing a man whose rumors were completely baseless nothing but fairy tells....and faced something that no one could predict.

Yeah, but honestly what it was wasn’t important to the broader point. Substitute zod for 40 guys hiding with crossbows for guts to walk in and same thing. Shouldn’t be walking in alone like that, because if he does get in trouble then that’s more casualties when they go in after him. Rob was right. Nah Rob is completely ryt! 100% you can have a good intention but still be in the wrong, Guts was told by his men to stay put and tell Griffith about the situation so they can come up with an actual 100% plan and solution to the problem, but what did Guts tell his men ( Gaston ) when they implied that? ( You go or tell Griffith...and you're dead! ) basically saying that as a captain it's humiliating for him to for word to go around saying that the Raiders are all being taken down guy one man...In this situation even though he obviously is worried about his men and has the right intention.....his pride puts him in the wrong

But I also think that 40 guys with crossbows is within reason for Guts to handle, his fellow soldiers would be more inclined to going in with him. I think its a terrible comparison to a supernatural being. Them highlighting the point that its one entity causing this havoc is really whats prompting him to face whomever this is. Cause it doesn't make sense.

@@king-su2on Yeah the guy who did Guts does a fairly good job, Griffith does alright but too monotone. Caska's not quite there. Some characters like Zodd/the Godhand do sound pretty cool. It's more secondary characters in the Band of the Hawk + everyone else sound too corny and cheaply thrown in, way over the top exaggerated or corny. A lot of it's from the Voice Acting direction/recording too. Not the worst dub at all but pretty lacking compared to the tone of the Japanese.
