I actually think the drink has damaged my brain also. The drink problem started for me around 16-17 years old. But I started drinking maybe 12-13. But since then I've been a misanthropic alcoholic loner, with nothing to show for my life so far. I'm now 31, & need to completely abstain from the drink if I want any form of happiness in this life. Hope your keeping strong though lad! K cider is extremely vile stuff

Benzos are the best for alcohol withdraw. The fort alcohol detox I did was at home with a detox nurse about 15 years ago. I was give 2× 10mg blue diazepam every hour for 10 hours, 20× 10mg blue diazepam every over the 10 hour duration. It worked well. The second time was in detox centre where i was given librium, I can't remember the dose but it was a reduction dose over 5 to 7 days. Benzodiazepines stop you from having seizures and help with other withdraw symptoms. With the diazepam detox it was alot but it had to build up in my system so I wouldn't fit/seizure. I've since detoxed myself and advised others with diazepam. Detox centres prefer librium these days and we don't have a community detox nurse anymore 😥

That’s very lot of diazepam to take in a day. Max I’ve been on is thirty mg per day. Did the detox nurse not worry about your liver after taking so many blues? I only drank three cans of cider last night so doing well.

Yeah but in our day it was cheap in four packs or crates of 24 500ml and was 5.6% now it's watered down piss which gives you s,,ts. Soon the next generation will be drinking shandy, government going after working class
