I saw the earlier television revival in early 1960s (1958-1962), and his voice sounded like that.. he even babysit #Poindexter the nerd (visualizing a "Mary Poppins" crossover..can u imagine that?)..whilst less fanicful than anything before later, his nemesis, The Albert Einstein-like Professor, chased Felix into a whale,# Blubberino, in 1958, and Felix went INSIDE even FURTHER and saw a few sings.) There was the bag of tricks, Felix's own tail..and such (though admittedly pale-ing next to other renditions). Felix's canine nemesis #Rockbottom (A pit bull), his aforementioend charge, bestie #Poindexter, and aliens General Clang (the squid) and Master Cylinder (a large tomato soup can w/disemodied hyperventilating voice), were the other regular characters. (Prof.and Rock, MC and Clag, were teamed as boss/lackey). Done by many of the same folks who brought #Popeye, Betty Boop, Koko the Clown, Casper the Friendly GHost, Little Audrey (the three pigtails little cute girl tomboy who often daydreramed), Baby Huey, Herman and katnip and others for Paramount.Famous (eventually absored by Harvey comics), made the TV Felix. (even Casper creator Joseph Oriolo was producer-director-writer!) Animators included Jim Tyer, Grim Natwick and some other (Largely) East Coast veterans you may know if you're an old timey animation fan. Popeye, aka Jack Mercer, went Mel Blanc many times bettert by REALLY being the voice... Even the music was (thru stock) from a Paramounter/#Harveytoons and #Fleischer regular, Winston Sharples.. Righty-O (Personally, I'd rathe have those than the movie..the soundtrack for the ffties ones was a big deal. You cna hear it by clicking #Harveytoons and #Popeye.

The 1994 Columbia Tristar VHS release does not have the 4% PAL speed-up (so things sound less obnoxious), has a more accurate color palette (no crushed reds) and a slightly better sound mix (14:15 is clearer).

No it doesn't. I've actually compared the version you uploaded and my VHS and both were very different. Your version clocks in at 78 mins., because of the PAL speedup, whereas my NTSC VHS runs at 82 mins. Your version certainly has more definition, as I assume it came from a DVD and not a lo-rez VHS, but the colors are brighter and more saturated. Oriana's hair on yours is pretty close to bright yellow, whereas in my VHS her hair is fair blonde. The framing is different and so is the sound mix.

Although the original creator of these videos has long since been able to upload these videos of his onto this here website, I am still nevertheless thankful for Internet archivists such as this one, as she and others like her, LeisureSuiteRantFiend, made it possible for many such as myself, who would not have originally even been aware of said video series, in this case The Nostalgia Critic, otherwise, and as such, I still occasionally make it a point to watch some of her reuploads even though NC has since uploaded them in an official capacity once again. I also like to occasionally look at such videos in order to look at older comments that are not buried under a slew of newer ones. Sometimes, I just prefer looking at comments of older videos that are closer to the original upload dates, just do really. Although the probability of her seeing this is quite minuscule by nature, to say the least; Thank you for introducing me to this webseries, and by extension, others like it.

You can really tell the creators didn't give a flying fuck about this from the little things. At 9:40, you can hear someone coughing in the background. This whole film is so sloppy that it's about on par with Food Fight, which is about as bad as a college freshmen's animation final project, if that freshmen had no artistic or creative experience whatsoever, but had a big budget and constantly tripped balls.

Ignoring the whole episode for a moment, NC's intro here is easily my favorite! I could watch it on repeat! As for the movie, as an animator myself, this looks like it was under constant changes (or they simple missed their deadline by a looong shot) and the editors and animators had to mash together unfinished frames and animations into a clusterfuck. Then the voices were added in post. Since the company had an obligation to finish and publish their work, they had no choice but to turn in this piece of shit of a movie by the shit of a shit of a shit of a shit of a piece of shit.
