I always preferred the blue and grey suit in the Dark Knight Returns as opposed to the black and grey. The lighter colors feel more hopeful in the depressing dystopian world of that graphic novel.

It’s like a comic staple and downright historic at this point. It’s like calling yourself a film nerd/movie buff/cinephile whatever and never seeing Citizen Kane. U don’t have to like it necessarily but at least for the history and Everything it inspired (and that’s a lot of other media). It’s not as great as people would make it seem nowadays, much like watchmen, we’ve seen worse now but for it’s time this dark of a Batman was unheard of.
