Just got my nostril nose piercing done on Saturday and I love it. The piercing itself was so quick and painless, it wasn’t literally painless but the pain was so bearable. It was half a second of pain and literally stubbing my toe has hurt way worse than getting that needle through my nose. So far it just hurt the day after I got it pierced. Right not it’s barely sore so I’m happy.

I have both nostrils and my septum done. The nostrils were pierced in the very early 80s, and the septum in 1993. I wear the septum hidden most of the time (retainer). None were very painful from what I can recall, and healed fairly quickly. Right nostril and septum are 14 gauge, and left nostril is 16 gauge. I wear a stud in the left, and a ring (clicker) in the right. I still clean twice daily with a saline nose spray. They are the only facial piercings I have, and still enjoy them very much. Great video, and I'm subbed. (Jan Griffiths).

Yes it is inside your nose. It seems some people are more prone to this and others are are more sensitive to the smell. Cleaning it regularly seems to help. Basically what it is is the build up of sebum.

I went for a septum piercing here in China. I checked that the piercer knew proper placement but it was still very very painful and ended up crooked. He tried again, same outcome. I gave up and had 2 adjacent nostril studs done instead. Probably no room for the septum piercing now but I think i want to remove (allow to close up) the front nostril stud and still get the septum piercing. Probably a different piercer though! Trying to find how much time i need to give the failed septum piercings to heal up. Recently a lot of ear piercings plus a labret and tongue... Learnt SO much from your videos, thank you so much. Being very careful with aftercare, including importing the assorted a/care products you recommend in your videos. Both tragi, double conch in one, single conch in the other, 5 helix in total, 1 rook, a second lobe, 2 flat piercings. Can't do snug or daith as my ear anatomy isn't compatible. Getting endless stange looks but that's nothing new - just a different reason for people to stare😂
@BodyPiercingTattooing Жыл бұрын
There should be room for a septum with two nostril piercings. I guess that would depend on your anatomy and the size of your nose. Oftentimes times a crooked septum can be straightened in the final weeks of healing by applying light pressure. However, this only works if it is through the sweet spot. I would suggest waiting 2-4 weeks before getting re-pierced.

Interesting, I didn't realize piercers would do the nostril piercing differently based on ring vs stud! I'd heard that putting a ring in a fresh nostril piercing was a bit controversial, but my piercer said they do either & the client just has to be aware rings are more difficult to heal. I went with my gut and did the ring because I have another piercing that acts up any time I put curved jewelry in it, so I didn't want something similar to happen with my nostril since I don't love the look of nose studs. Knowing the piercing is done differently, I'm glad I did what I did-- hopefully I've set myself up for a less temperamental piercing long term (so far, it's healing perfectly well!).

It's not a common piercing and I've even had one client request it. The biggest issue is that nose is not straight and usually the nostril is higher on one side or the other and the placement doesn't match the sweet spot.

Body Piercing & Tattooing my septum healed without any problems whatsoever, using the curved barbell jewelry so I can easily leave it alone, despite the warnings my piercer gave me in regards to it. my nostril, however, has always been problematic, I’ve had it pierced three times since January 2019 in the same spot, took the first one out because of that nasty looking bump that we all dread (didn’t have a clue what it was), the second time I got my naval pierced as well and wasn’t aware of how long it took to heal both, and ended up taking it out, and I got it pierced one again this past Wednesday, so fingers crossed that this time’s the charm! wish I would’ve watched this video beforehand, lol.
