What high resolution, high refresh rate mini LED IPS display would you recommend right now?
@StarzGG

Bought this monitor around 2 weeks ago and I absolutely LOVE it! Coming from a 300 hz LED ASUS panel, the color is just insane. The brightness is actually not too bad, considering that I play in a dim room with only indirect lighting. One reason that I chose this monitor over the 240 ASUS or LG hz choices was due to the curve. I've previously had an 800R curved monitor and I was not a super big fan. 1800R is a much better angle in my opinion. Finally, I'm pretty sure there is DSC as I have the same issues, but it's not the worst. Overall, I'm super happy with my purchase and I strongly recommend this monitor.

Currently, in my country, the Alienware AW3423DWF is priced at 746 euros, while the MO34WQC2 is available for slightly less at 729 euros. Both monitors come with a 3-year burn-in warranty. Given this situation, which monitor would you recommend I purchase? Thank you! I currently run a 4070 Ti.

The issue with QD-OLED is that background light can activate some of the OLED cells, causing them to have a grey or reddish hue.
@Dr.WhetFarts

And WOLED lacks colors and have shitty coating on 99% of panels. If you buy an OLED monitor or TV to use it in a bright room, then you fucked up anyway. So you are bringing up a non-issue really. QD-OLED won best TV 2022, 2023 and 2024 judged by experts, it's simply just better than WOLED and LG Display can't do much without removing the white subpixel, hence leaving WOLED completely, which they won't at this point because all their fabs are built around this.
@Nagasaski
@Nagasaski 3 ай бұрын
@Dr.WhetFarts what is with your reply? Like somehow I personally attacked you? There are pro and cons to all tech, nothing is perfect. No need to be so sour. There are also other issues with QD-OLED as well, but the same goes for WOLED, too. I'm not going to fanboy one over the other. Rather, is better to know and understand objectively on all sides. There's no need to be so hateful... Also, the "non issue" you say, is an issue though. You don't always watch things in complete dark. During the day or dim light dark rooms, can cause blacks and shadows to be slightly off colour.

@@Dr.WhetFartsI agree about the room light. Turn off some damn lights. I'm sick of hearing that monitors aren't bright enough. Close every light and turn on your OLED monitor. The brightness will kill your eyes. Tbh about monitors I'll just wait 2 years for it. I hope I see good 42 inch ones lol

@@Yoogaki I agree. I have an LG oled tv and I had to turn the brightness down because it hurt my eyes. I think its common sense to make the room as dark as possible when watching movies. If not for the colors, then at least for the atmosphere.

I don't recommend using an ultrawide with a console. Consoles don't support 21:9 aspect ratios so you will have to choose between a stretched out image to fill the screen or black bars on either side and effectively a 27 inch screen at 16:9@JackLeftTown427

@@tg246 Whoops, now it's me who's late. The issue reported is with the APL Stabilize High setting that unlocks 1000-nits of peak brightness. Unfortunately, it has a very inaccurate EOTF tracking, meaning that it boosts brightness quite too much in darker scenes. If you watch Monitors Unboxed review from 14:27 on, this is explained quickly and with measurements. This problem plagued the Alienware DWF for months until customers requests due to monitor's popularity made the devs finally fix it. Still, thank you for your report. This monitor certainly seems to tick all the boxes except what I mentioned.
@tg246
@tg246 12 күн бұрын
@@DreamyWoIf wrote to you but the owner of the channel deleted my post. In case of MO34WQC2 the eotf issue was grossly exagerated by Monitors Unboxed. Tomshardware reported their MO34WQC2 was extremely accurate out of the box, be it sdr or hdr.
@DreamyWoIf
@DreamyWoIf 12 күн бұрын
@@tg246 Not sure if it was the channel owner, as KZbin's automatic system is known for removing comments even when there's just one single word it deems inappropriate, or whatever it thinks violates the "community guidelines". It generally sucks. Anyway, I read Tom's Hardware review. From what I understand, the author meant the monitor's colors when referring to accuracy, and how you don't need to make any additional calibrations. But when it comes to HDR, he reports measuring brightness only on a 25% window pattern compared to MU that also measures 10 and 2 percent windows, the latter being where this monitor achieves 1000 nits. Additionally, there's only one EOTF measurement and we don't know on what windows size it was measured, so it's impossible to conclude if Gigabyte fixed the tracking across the board. Perhaps the issue is not exaggerated for most people. Personally, when I look at the DW/DWF comparison before the later got fixed, I know which one I'd want. I'll try to post the links so that YT doesn't remove them, the game is RDR 2. Just remove the space after the dot when pasting the links in your browser. There are already glasses-free 3D TVs and displays. There’s no dependency on having a really high resolution. The Nintendo 3DS was glasses-free 3D with a low resolution screen. There are modern glasses-free 3D displays like the Acer SpatialLabs ones, the LumePad tablets from Leia inc., Nubia Pad 3D tablets from ZTE, 3D TV/monitor/tablet from ProMa

@@Spish0 I don't think that they Expect that kind of No glasses 3D . The problem with No glasses 3D is that there is minimum depth I have seen a lot of them. The only Good use of No Glasses 3D is when u are really really close for example portable handheld or Monitor . Everything else that is more than 40cm distance it Needs Glasses polarized or active clipping per eye...Another solution is The use of Lazer Projectors 2 of them... But it's very expensive and there is no content to play. Cinema 📽️ is low budget the last year's.

@@Tripokaridos22 There is a review of ProMa’s 55” glasses-free 3D TV by Josh3D IRL on KZbin.
