@@cashgogetter6737This was already demonstrated and proven in the first trial. One lone juror who perjured herself and lied on her juror questionnaire caused a mistrial. 11/12 people were convinced he was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt by following the evidence and fact pattern laid out by the State. If you don’t believe so, then I strongly urge you to go back and rewatch the original trial, especially the parts where the State of FL brought in the two MDs and weapons/ballistics expert to testify. All three of their individual testimonies were damning to the defense’s sole alibi of a drive-by shooting, which the defense never refuted any of their statements. The alibi does not align with the facts of this fact plain and simple.

@HJW018 Жыл бұрын
As he is the lead investigator of this case, yes it does. It brings into question the reliability of the evidence, the validity of the evidence, and the story it shows. There is a legal term "Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus" which is Latin that means "False in one thing, false in everything." AKA if you lie about one thing, you'll lie about everything. So it legally does change the facts of the case.

Hearsay won't hold in court And neither will the bulling approach that's going on with defense
@Beatyofeet32 Жыл бұрын
@@HJW018 Ok, but we know that's not true. You'd likely struggle to find a single person that has never told a lie, but it'd be ridiculous to then assume that all of those people have lied about everything. Legal term or not, anyone with a brain knows better than to hold that as some sort of guiding rule. Secondly, much of the evidence wasn't even produced by the lead detective. Which means that either all of those individuals would, too, need to be corrupt OR the evidence would have had to have been doctored, which any competent defense should be able to identify or, at the very least, bring under suspicion. Is it possible that every single person that handled anything regarding this investigation is corrupt and that they conspired to produce a large collection of evidence that not only points to Melly's guilt but, also, does not betray the fact that it was manufactured? Yes. Is that possibility orders of magnitude less likely than the simpler explanation that Melly is guilty? Also yes.

People think the man is guilty, but knowing and proving are two separate denominators. The court is set up to where you have to establish a person’s guilt, not think of their guilt. You can't tell the court, “Judge, he is guilty.” Even if he was, you must prove it through the proceedings. If not, you violate people’s constitutional rights, etc. I pray the family gets justice; I believe in justice. God is a God of justice.

Melly and his mom lied to Chris Thomas Sr. He is heartbroken what a shame... lock his mom up too
@Okalright7337 Жыл бұрын
If you think about it, the assistant state attorney Michelle B. is "throwing herself "under the bus". She said she "can't believe this is happening, it was like I was in a twilight zone" but then "I vividly remember what was said..." This vid from Law and Crime doesn't show the whole testimony from the assistant state attorney. In her full testimony she stated that when detective M was asking for the cell phone she also was telling Melly's mom that she needed to give him the cell phone. If it was an illegal search warrant that would lead to a Brady violation as she says, then why did she also tell Melly's mom that she needs to give up the phone!! Instead she should have reminded dectective M that he cant serve the search warrant because he is out of his jurisdiction and the deputy for that jurisdiction had stepped out the room. She could have told Detective M to hold on serving the warrant until the deputy came back.

She’s definitely paid off too 😭. Like make it make sense. His lawyers are just gasping for air at this point. In the first trial seems like they had a answer for everything and tampering witnesses throughout the whole trial. Okay now we need someone who gone say you got out the car but forgot your phone because they prove it was your phone 😅. So you to tell me they was all going to the same house and not question why these other foos kept driving and never came home. Like NOBODY called them asking where y’all go? Did y’all get lost 😂. And melly so happen went to sleep without his phone? Like nah he had over 500 photos on that phone so he’s 24/8 on that phone (.) and that ft call around the murder scene is a bold move so yeah let’s bribe the ex gf to not testify because them phone records puts him there lol. They need to continue this case. R.I.p juvy and sak ❤️🙏🏼🕊️

@angiegonzalez499 🤣 Yes!! first trial was crazy...defense killed me with all of their objections, questioning the operation of 2 top cell phone companies in the country about how "accurate" their technology is and total disrespect to some of the wittnesses who have been practicing their profession for years having to answer belittling questions about how well they did their job. Please don't get me started on the wittness they convinced to lie for Melly!! I could never be a defense lawyer !!!

@daniellecurry383 big facts I said the same thing and another thing if the lawyer of jamie was there as well then why did they let the detective continue to serve the warrant and with all the commotion the officer didnt hear it outside the door like her story just seemed weird to me but none of it has anything to do with the darn murder case all this went on and nobody took it serious when the stakes are extremely high because they work for the state defense sounding too desperate right now and the judge gone deny them motions because its too much hearsay and speculations in this crap sak n juvy not here to tell the story so why are we even watching petty people try too hard even in the 1st trial defense was getting on my nerves

Don’t quote me but I believe he just needs a witness to serve it. He was cleared after an IA investigation. So I don’t think it’ll be ruled in favor of the defense.

This case has been a cluster from the get go. And now, an obvious murderer may walk free because of shoddy or corrupt prosecution and/or law enforcement. It just gets worse and worse.

Those that saw the mother’s testimony offset by the text msgs know the time. NO doubt. And I’d always let the doubt win the day if I gad the slightest. But Mell guilty. The irony? Mel prob safer in BCJ and DOC than he ever gonna be on the street. Just the fear prob have him paranoid and needing a pharmacist. My hope? Cortlan do a deal and get the shooter Life. Justice.

This second trial hasn't started yet,the preliminary process hasn't even began therefore theres no Brady violations,the prosecution still has the opportunity to turn over any material, there's no injury to the defense therefore the defense assertions of BRADY V.MARYLAND violation will be dismissed.

If the police were so sure about them doing this crime why use illegal tactics
@iminchicago Жыл бұрын
The tactics were illegally aggressive for sure but they were definitely right about the hunch and Misused their Privilege but with the Facts on Display the judge not about to dismiss a Double Murder solely because they illegally seized a phone that clearly had convicting evidence in it

The new defense attorney is annoying as heck. The other prosecutor who testified was smiling throughout and was enjoying trashing the detective and Kristine Bradley. Could she be after Ms. Bradley’s higher position? I don’t know, but to me she reminded me of a gossipy “Karen” trying to get Ms. Bradley in trouble.
@Ranae-cy4bh Жыл бұрын
From the beginning I said something wasn’t right about her testimony she was giving up information that she’s not even asked like she wants to get it out and she should know court rules when testifying. Answer the question that’s asked of you ask me she was LEADING the defense to ask the questions 🤨
@barbaramay1866 Жыл бұрын
@@Ranae-cy4bh I know, right? It's good to know someone else noticed too. Very strange testimony and definitely leaning in favor of the defense. I feel bad for Kristine Bradley. I really do. This is such a tough case she has worked very hard on, and now this crazy Brady thing must feel like a slap in the face, like when the lying Ms. Holmes conveniently forgot about what she knew about Melly's involvement.
