Greetings from the Emerald Isle of Ireland 🇮🇪🇮🇪, this is a great splitting axe, the secret,is to have the wood at waist height,to get all the energy of the swing,into the rounds, I use 3 truck tyres with the inner walls removed,stack the round in tightly,and split away, saves your back no end, make sure you have a solid base, eg, concrete

Thanks man! Deserves more views. Would have liked to see your final assessment. What did you like and didn't like compared to other axes. I trust your opinion. Thanks again.

Pretty solid axe could be a great companion piece to a saw. Like the dog shakes in between.

Have you ever sharpen the husqvarna before?
@Greatlakesprepper5 жыл бұрын
yes..it comes "hardware store sharp". but 5 minutes with a file put a working edge on it.

Hello! which is better for husquarna a1400 (a2400) or Gransfors Bruk Scandinavian forest axe for felling?
@jaydak992 жыл бұрын
The A2400 is a multi purpose axe, not a felling axe. It's too thick to cut deep. It's not a dedicated splitting axe, so it could be used for felling occasionally, but would not perform as well as the other.

@@jaydak99 to be fair though a bit of filing could help that. I like wedgy axes for chopping if it's green.

they need to make a 18" version

Wrong axe for that kind of job, this is more a splitting axe. By the way, stop making videos for others if your chopping technique is bad.
