Regardless of our opinion on the current Iranian government, it is respectable that they're able to produce lots of their armaments domestically. This tank's specification is quite impressive considering the sanctions imposed on Iran.
@HanSolo__2 жыл бұрын
I don't know if they have much more options. They will still push an old Mango thru this pipe because they don't have the technology to develop modern canons let alone the ammo for it. They've developed welded turret so that's a plus. Some components are pulled a bit here and there, but can't expect miracles. The rest is kinda well known. All that Russia provided a long time ago. We are talking about the oil-rich country. And by rich, I mean *RICH* EDIT: The unchanged hull provides protection similar to T-72B (1989), PT-91 (early - 1994), or any other T-72M1/B with simple ERA 1gen. It has no 1200HP engine. It has no 1000HP. If they can put 800HP reliably - I would be impressed.

This is not anything remotely close to T-90MS. More like the very first T-90 from 1993 with a welded turret. Not even that, because the Russian tank already had better gun and Kontakt-5 ERA. The closest to this would be Polish PT-91 M2A2 or Belarusian T-72BME (if it would get welded turret.) Both with faaaar better FCS tho. I mean 1200 HP? Seriously? T-72M4CZ obtained 1200 Perkins Condor CV12 the same that Brits have in their Challenger. And they still preferred to put it in lowered 1000HP version to not ruin the drive. Poles use 850HP and 1000HP in their tank but they supplied Iraq for the war in 1991 and were world wide exporter of T-series. Not home production of half made M and M1 in 200 pieces. More like 3000.

the total Iraqi army losses (destroyed and captured) from the t72 tanks didn't exceed 100 in the entire 8 years of war out of 1100 t72 tank... most of Iraqi army t72 fleet was from polish and czech origins with small numbers of Soviet made Ural t72... According to its specifications on paper, the tank is considered excellent and constitutes an important addition to the Iranian ground forces, especially considering Iran’s aging fleet of main battle tanks... the Iranians have extensive experience in manufacturing and using chemical energy anti-armor projectiles or shaped charges (HEAT) with advanced performance data against the zionist entity latest generation main battle tank... this is why we assume that the explosive reactive armor (era) suits the tank is equipped with and the general Iranian reactive armor industry is considered very good... I believe that the tank is equipped with advanced multi-channel sighting systems, but we assume that it is either a license, or reverse engineering, or development based on Chinese off the shelf reconnaissance, surveillance and tracking complexes, and the performances levels that may reach 25 km... the tank suffers from some shortcomings, including but not limited to: 1- the tank’s inherited the same ammo storage of the t64/t72/t90 although it did placed some monitions on separate ammo storage site but the main storage remains in the bottom of the hull which make the tank very vulnerable to anti tank land mines and anti armor explosive devices, and by pairing the land mines and the ammo storage site (alongside the fully packed magazine with ammo and propellent) we can explain the footages emerging from the Ukrainian theaters of operation of huge explosions followed by a catastrophic destructions of the latest generation of the t90ms... 2- the tank is not equipped with a millimeter radar system, this would have given it an advanced organic early warning capabilities, against various air and ground hostilities (various weapons systems and ammunition), and with it would have allowed for improving the levels of the multi layered perception and awareness of the commander,In general, the millimeter radar system provides a visual capabilities superior to most multi-channel electro-optical sighting systems, even with a small or medium-sized antenna, but its drawbacks remain in the possibility of detecting the tank using ground radars from a long distance, in addition to the ability to painting the tank for various munitions especially tank guided ammo that riding that radar wave, the radar system could have been linked to the Iranian Integrated air defense network as one of their forefront subcomponents... 3-the tank is not equipped with an auxiliary multi-channel sighting device mounted on a retracted mast this will allow the tank commander to scouting and monitoring the battle field organically from a higher position and thus from longer distance, this capability could be issued to tank platoon commander...
