I was an Arsenal season ticket holder for decades. I was a 'Junior Gunner' before that and would go to Highbury, starting at 7yr old. I got disillusioned with Arsenal at the end of the Arsene Wenger era. How the fans turned on him was appalling - to me. Sitting in stadiums next to people looking at their phones, whinging that the food they'd purchased in the stadium wasn't good enough. A bloke once asked me not to use curse/words. Cos it offends him. THEN - Covid. Empty stadiums. Arsenal put up a big Black Lives Matter mural in the corner of the stadium. So that it was entirely visible during the TV broadcast. That was it for me. Fuck football. Fuck Arsenal. I'll never set foot anywhere near that stadium again.
