On this channel, you will find videos centered around mental health issues, strategies to overcome them, and tools to help you build resilience.

If you're everybody's friend, you're your own enemy. ~ Mike Tyson I've never been closer to myself than I am now. I had some health issues for almost 2 years, but I'm completely symptom free. But I'm not going to stop there. I know where these behaviors come from, and I still remember times in my past, where I subordinated my well being and interests to other people, to please, to maintain peace etc. Im done with that shit and that type of behavior, and I feel so much authentic and stronger not engaging in this unhealthy stuff anymore. It's so tempting to avoid confrontation, but I've done it in the past, since I was not aware of the consequences, but now that I've grown and am becoming myself more and more each day, I'm not falling for these things anymore. Taking time for yourself is cool and it's needed. I impose and telegraph so much more respect since I learned to say no, and yes, ironically, I can give back in a much truer fashion. But what this guy says is right, not putting yourself first and compromising your integrity because of others will literally make you sick in the worst ways imaginable. I was feeling so distant and numb, never again. But it's a cry for help and you're body telling you to stop It's against what Nature and what god intended us to do. Sometimes we've been just so habituated to act in these unhealthy ways for us, that we don't even realize it, and a lot comes from our developmental years ideed

This is really important. I remember now that a lot of traumatic events in my life were caused by mine belief that I have no right to disappoint other people. I've tried to make others happy even if the price was my health and my mental well-being. I've had mental breakdowns just because I was not able to satisfy someone-else's needs (because I was so mentally broken already that I had no resources for doing that) When you learn to value yourself first, life changes drastically (in a good way, of course). But this path is not easy and not fast. You will have to deal with gilt and shame before you truly believe that you deserve happiness and respect yourself, even if it means that someone else might be unhappy about it.

Say hi to your friend. Same thing happened to me, after having an accident I quickly realized a lot of my "friends" didn't care about me. Hard pill to swallow when you're down already.

This was a very good video. Not saying “no” has gotten me used and stomped on. It has caused me emotional distress and exhaustion. Now I have boundaries and working on saying “no” 🙏🏻

Hey Jordan, thanks for the video's. I have a question, do you know if trauma and DPDR can cause someone to lose their ability to visualize things in their mind?

Hey! So I can't speak to your specific situation because I would need to know a ton more details but I would say for sure seek a doctor and licensed mental health professional to help you get an idea of what's going on

Hi... I feel exactly the same after a major trauma 12 years ago too away everybody & everything I loved and cherished. That included myself - I've lost myself and it's such an awful feeling. I've not responded to any therapies - Residential Trauma Treatment was recommended 12yrs ago - I've actually been made worse in lots of ways by uneducated medical practitioners. "Loss of System of Meanings" and "Loss if self Identity" is very painful, I do hope UR feeling better🤗🙏 I've lost Hope after fighting to get the care I need, and now my physical body is starting to shut down, with various health problems starting... Help is out there, it's just difficult as Trauma affects each of us differently and that's why treatment must be tailored to the individual. I'm here if you'd like to talk☺️👍
