Nothing better, other than a bucket full of extra money, a compliment from a customer. A simple thanks makes my day. One customer said I was like an artist when I sorted out a tree. Only a small tree and only took an hour but saying thanks was appreciated.

Great story. Liking your content & so have subscribed. I'm not sure who said this, but it's stuck with me over the years, 'Quality is its own reward'. Anyone with experience knows that seldom, if ever, will a cheap job be even satisfactory let along quality.

Missed your vids my man. Yeah absolutely, charge accordingly I guess, it's different when you're established like ourselves with all the kit, when you're young and dumb you'll charge less and come unstuck and do a shocking job and therefore no-one wins. Another thing I've noticed since I've gotten more professional with my invoicing is that they're less likely to dispute a bill if it's neat and tidy and presented smartly 😂 Another thing I always bang on about is "be accurate" write everything done and have it concise and transparent.

Hope everything calms down in life 🙏 Had similar a few times now, worked for a guy and charged him a fare chunck of money because he was a one off and I was rammed,anyhow I asked him why didn't he get his garders to do it and his reply was they are just jobber gardeners 😏🤔 I know of these guys n there work is as good as mine. I asked what they were charging for his lawn to be cut to be told £12😬 i said id be double that and his reply was because you know what your doing 🤔 which the other guy do to.. he just perceived my higher price as being more professional 🤯

It's always said if you get 100% of the quotes you must be too cheap, I think 80% is a good target. Quoting can be very difficult sometimes, but generally I always quote higher on new one off jobs just in case, I see it a lot where someone will follow the contour of a hedge, and it ends up looking wavy, some (not all) just do bare minimum, maximize profits minimize work. This too is a balancing act.
