Not All Gypsies Are Nomads! Romani Town in Moldova: Child Marriages and Pretentious Architecture

Although widely used, “Gypsy” is actually a derogatory term. The appropriate name for this ethnic group is “Romani” or “Roma”. However the Gypsy Baron I met in Moldova said he personally was not offended by it. He told me about the history of his people and gave me a tour around pretentiously looking houses of the locals. I also learnt about the culture of Roms and their SHOCKING traditions.

The problem with many Afro-American communities is they do not want to even have a Afro-American police force in them to arrest the ones who commit crimes against other Afro-Americans. In a Armenian community if an Armenian commits a crime against one they commit it against every Armenian and in some of them you will be hanged for murdering, stealing or damaging another person's property. So take not of that. Start by making Afro-American communities in the USA responsible enough to hold criminals that Afro-American accountable so other Afro-Americans will say they will never do those things.

Interesting 'fact' : I live in Waterbury CT,USA and my mom told me that many years ago the King of the Gypsies (I apologize if this is a derogatory title), was here in our city because one of the people in their community was in hospital here

Oh yes, I'm part Roma and I remember Angelo My Love. I never attended school, and tbh, I'm glad. I've seen some of the things my friends have suffered in school. I'm literate -- in more than one language -- but I'm small and female, and if I'd had to fight to survive in an American school, I wouldn't have had the psychological energy to master reading and mathematics.

It was for people who worked 9 to 5 like my parents happy if we could eat .. but for people like my uncle who was buying selling things those had a good life .. and also it was a golden era for hustlers gangsters thieves so you can imagine those Roma and others who didn’t lived an honest life those lived like kings and did what ever they wanted because the corruption was also so high you could pay of cops judges if you had money of course lol ..

I am originally from India now living in USA. I worked three years in Moldova for the government. My wife and I visited Saroca in 2000; the huge houses had lots of Indian style architecture, figurines etc. when a group oof women saw my wife and her jewelry they got excited, hugged her and won’t let her go, saying you’re our sister..It was the most exciting visit. But our driver warned us that Gypsies can also be aggressive and rob you. So we quickly left..

I’m a Roma as well and definitely we have these types of Roma no question unfortunately .. but not all of us living like this usually the ones who comes from crippled poverty’s growing up in conditions like wild animals .. but we have also many hard working ones to we have our musicians tribe who never steal or begged they make their money from playing music regardless where .. so it’s really not all of us it’s the less fortunate ones who’s the most poor most vulnerable ones usually from those Roma groups we have the ones that you guys talking about living in Eastern Europe segregated mostly and they grow up like wild animals do in the jungles so yeah ..
