Great review. Personally the fit was way better and took lot less to break in, and upper ankle lockdown is better. The tongue is thicker than the previous version and it does provide some padding when shooting. Still no AG with tongues is a shame tho.
@우셍2 күн бұрын
Agreed, would buy AG one
@duaneswaby622Күн бұрын
What exactly was better about the fit, and what is your foot type?
@KeeperCharlieКүн бұрын
@@duaneswaby622 i have a wide midfoot. Pressure point on Pred 24 was noticeable and took a week to break in. Also pred 24 had very loose upper foot lockdown and (i had tongueless pred 24) the tongue would shift left and right while playing and it was annoying. All this was fixed with 25.
@LuaoneКүн бұрын
AG wouldnt be possible with the tongue. People forget the elastic band would tear and rip since turf/artifical grass is abrasive especially on hot days. Adidas would see this as a durability issue.

@@Luaone Mate I've been wearing FG preds FT for 2 years from previous models and the band is FINE. Granted it was an model from a decade ago but it was fine on AG

Thank god they didn't make any big changes. We didnt need a whole new boot especially as the pred 24 only lasted a year.

I appreciate the review of these. I keep trying to tell people to look at these as a refinement instead of an upgrade. Instead of driving a Toyota (24) it’s like driving a Lexus (25). I think if people look at in that lense, it could help them make a better decision on them. Mainly comes down to which aesthetics do you like better? Also the 25 is WAY easier to get the FT model than the 24 ever was
@brianjanssens80202 күн бұрын
The main thing i think is better is just the design. They look really clean, especially this colorway. The strikeskin fins also look clean and i like that they're not covering the midfoot part, but then again thats all there is to it. I recently bought the pred 24 for a major discount, so i believe that will always be the better option rather than some minor optimizations when it comes to this gen vs last gen.
@JonathanRodriguez-nz9nw2 күн бұрын
The best reviewer. Either way i myself will only buy the leather model they are bound to make with this gen, like the Roteiro or Becks pairs, but i love the honesty in your reviews Jeb. Very useful for anyone actually looking to get the synthetic versions, ft or no tongue

It would have been super cool if the heel was similar to the mode the pros get. I think older heel constructions (like the CTR360) had better lockdown. It looks like the AG stud pattern on these is the same as the F50 which is a shame. Otherwise I’d get these.
@PlayTheArsenalWay542 күн бұрын
why do you think the ag pattern is a shame?

adidas cope pure 3 please! Curious to see how the lock down and fit is for the heel. Passed on the Pure 2's because of that one detail.

Mine came in today and low key I wasnt really looking forward to the first impression considering i had watch this video and jay mikes review. Lucky to say I tried them on rn… and my… having tried the previous version out, these new ones are better. My toes arent bunched up, they lasted longer walking around the house with no hot spots like the previous gen. The material is def softer which helps my slightly wide feet. I might keep them this time around. If anyone is anxious about them being too tight at forefoot, i say try them again and see for yourself. Remember everyones feet is different than yours. Your personal preference/tolerance plays the role.

They should’ve made the adidas logo on the tongue more grippy

No tongue for the AG version ☹. Wasn't a fan of the hybrid touch on the pred 24. Wasn't padded enough to feel plush, but wasn't thin enough to feel barefoot. Just felt boring and the feeling when striking wasn't great, in my opinion of course. The fins in rain made the ball very slippery since the surface area was small, so new one might actually be better in that regard. I think the Copa 3 is the boot to go for this gen. Can't wait for the AG version. When can we expect a review of that and the future 8?
@Qwepzy2 күн бұрын
Design wise I like them over the 24
@Pac-w7vКүн бұрын
Have you tried the ag yet? And if so, is the fit again tighter then the FG this year. Because the FG version on the 24 was a bit to wide in the forefoot but the AG version was a perfect fit. I hope the ag had the same fit again this year
@SoccerreviewsforyouКүн бұрын
I have not just yet, but it looks like Adidas has used the same soleplate and stud pattern as the AG F50 Elite, which is hardly what I would consider to be an AG stud pattern. I'll be getting them in relatively soon. Stay tuned 👍

How long should a boot last you if you're playing weekly?
@SoccerreviewsforyouКүн бұрын
It’s all situation specific. Playing surfaces, how you play, the shape of your feet, weather conditions and so many other things are all variables. If you give the same boots to every player on a team at the start of the season, every pair will wear differently to some extent. It’s not something that you can accurately predict.

@Soccerreviewsforyou2 күн бұрын
I can’t say that I think they’re a terrible option. In the event that they break though, Adidas could deny a warranty claim because they aren’t being used on the intended playing surface they were designed for

Is the upper thinner than that on the f50 Messi ?
@Soccerreviewsforyou2 күн бұрын
Because it’s less soft, it feels thinner to me, or at least very similar in thickness. If you’re after a padded feel from your boots, these aren’t that.
