Wife changed her Ford C-max last year and went with the Dacia Sandero bi-fuel expression making her the fourth person in the family to go Sandero. I would expect I will be next (to Stepway) when I change from Citroen e-c4. Took her Dacia for a long road trip of almost 1000 miles and thoroughly enjoyed the car. LPG was rare but easier to find than available, working EV chargers were last year on the trip.

Lpg 70p ltr here in Salford, 800miles max range with 2 tanks. Oil change interval longer as lpg does not muck up the oil as much, engine runs cleaner and lasts longer.

I bought a Dacia Sandero Essential in December 2023. I traded in my previous Sandero Essential that I had paid £10.5K for two years before, and got a trade-in value of £9K. Probably a bit lucky, but these cars do hold their value. They would not do so if they were not in demand. The Sandero is a simple car in base trim, but still has auto LED headlights, A/C and front electric windows. The 90 bhp turbocharged engine has adequate poke. The car is roomy, the seats are comfortable enough, the boot is spacious. It is perfectly fine on the motorway and will do around 50mpg on petrol. It is also cheap to run overall and does not have all the irritating driver aids that are simply an annoyance, and the cause of visits to the dealer when they go wrong. Simplicity in a car is not always a bad thing. All in all, not a bad car for the price.

1:42 you don't get more head room as it's the exact same car on taller suspension.

Dacias hold their value well so they really are a better buy brand new. LPG is still around, certainly it feels like theres more LPG pumps than there are electric chargers and the price ranges from 70p a liter to about £1 a liter. The fact that main brands are much cheaper used speaks volumes about how overpriced they are to begin with. 2021/22 was the best time to buy one really, PCP % rates were much lower than now.

I had a base model auto petrol as hire car 2 months ago. In Dublin. Auto box was terrible. Would have been better with manual. Fuel economy was mid-30's. Not great. But I kind of liked the simplicity of the car. I can see why people buy them. Good review 😊

Here in Brazil i paid about £18,700 for a Renault DUSTER, the same Dacia Duster 2024 brand new, bi fuel, gasoline or ethanol, engine 1.6 aspirated, 9.5 l/100km.

Basic spec is probably not the one to go for unless its really reflected in the price. Used better spec models with the 6 speed now only available as a 5 speed unless you go for the jacked up one. LPG is handy if its available to you locally at a decent price. Personslly i would Swift if you qualify for blue light tier 1 discount with the 7 year service activated warranty.

Such balance😮 Who said those ballet lessons were wasted! For my £11k… Fun option Up GTI or MX5 😀 Sensible is a Fiesta I guess 🧐 Older less sensible, would be a BMW M135i 🙄

With Renault dropping their price for new cars there really isn’t that much difference between high spec Dacia and low spec but posher looking on the drive Clio. Wonder how many Sandero are sold in Western Europe?
@WheelieMacBin5 ай бұрын
The Sandero, I believe, is the best selling car in Western Europe.

Expensive on PCP deals (rip off) with high interest. Any car Dacia dealers I’ve went to tend to push PCP and are not interested in ordinary financing (HP) if you do the sums HP is cheaper than PCP by about £1700.
@WheelieMacBin5 ай бұрын
I think most cars in the UK are now acquired on some kind of PCP rental deal. HP is a better option, but better still is simply to pay cash on the nail.

Why would you need the bonnet to pop up if you ran a pedestrian over ? Do your homework, and go to the bottom of the class 😂
@AHoundOnAHonda6 ай бұрын
According to Mr Google, _"A deployable or 'pop-up' bonnet is designed to lift in a crash involving a pedestrian to create more space to absorb the head impact energy and reduce the severity of the injury"_ .
@forevered42706 ай бұрын
@AHoundOnAHonda which is irrelevant if the "runs over a pedestrian" meaning there gone under the car and not over it.
@AHoundOnAHonda6 ай бұрын
@@forevered4270 Probably so, but at least you now know the purpose of the pop-up bonnet -- and it's spelled "they're", not "there", so go to the bottom of the class! 😉
@DontPanicDear6 ай бұрын
“Run over” is widely used for all pedestrian collisions. Hitting people in cars, tips them onto the bonnet, so the pop up bonnet saves head injuries 🤓 Semantics.
