Но когато купих винтоверта със алуминиевия куфар, преди 1 или 2 години, при тестване мощността на винтоверта мисчя, че прецаках 1-та батерия защото 2 от клетките му са вече със капацитет около 1200mAh. Well, one of my 4Ah Parkside batteries wouldn't charge, so I connected it to a known good 2Ah battery (minimizing replacement cost...) Left them outside, connected together for half an hour, both charge indicators showed "full" after that, but they did accept a few minutes charge. Must see if the 4Ah job performs OK now. I bought a couple of adaptors for Parkside batteries, and they make connecting batteries together so easy...

0.5mm² or 0.75mm² are enough but if your battery is drained more, just add a 55W headlight bulb between one wire so the current flows through the bulb so it doesn't charge with high current which can damage the cells. And don't leave the batteries unattended while doing this!!!

Thanks. I had a 4ah down to ~5v (measured between + / - on the battery itself). The charger wouldn't charge it and both lights blinked. The charger doesn't even output power when plugged into socket, until apparently it 'talks' to battery to do some form of a handshake (I guess board in battery has to give OK to be charged or charger doesn't start when voltage of battery is below certain level). In my case I connected 2ah (fully charged) to the dead 4ah twice for ~40m each time. Then the dead 4ah (showing now green + yellow on the capacity indicator) still wouldn't start charging. Put it on a cordless drill and ran the motor couple of times. Then attempted to charge it again and miracle - it started charging.

@ErCanEverything2 жыл бұрын

BEWARE of using older parkside batteries on other tools, all 20v parkside tools have a bms and cell balancing, BUT it does not test or prevent over discharge, if you over discharge a parkside battery, the protection chip in the battery will lock out the battery forever! it will not send 'handshake' to charger to start charging. its a safety feature of the bms IC to protect us from fire, not to increase company profit.. also recharging the cells 1 by 1 will not unlock it I have spent hours doing this, I have tried many parkside boards etc as I built a full 50mph+ e-motorcycle from parkside cells so i have a lot of the boards
@jobyEN2 жыл бұрын
So why can't a charger simulate the first method you used? It seems simple enough. Thanks for the vid!
@ErCanEverything2 жыл бұрын
The charger board does not charge until the BMS on the Battery does not allow it.🙂
@ToMiTj2 жыл бұрын
And there is a problem with balancing speed... most pcb boards do balancing very slowly .. It is designed to balance during every charging so if you dont use battery for very long time cells might go out of balance very badly.. Then when you put it on charging it could take days to fuly balance every cell... Thats why it is better to manualy charge every cell group to same voltage.. That way you basicly do manual balancing faster than pcb board , you bring cells basicly to similar voltages and after that electronic board can take over and keep battery balanced (if you use it from time to time ofcourse)
@ErCanEverything2 жыл бұрын
Maybe that's why the Makita Batteries have a yellow balancing jack which is directly controlled by the charger when charging.

Will this work with different voltage / amp batteries? I have a 4ah 20v dead battery and a 2ah 18volt good one

Basically, 18V and 20V batteries consist of 5 cells. That is, the nominal voltage of both batteries is 18.5V, but Parkside decided to mark them as 20V. Battery capacity doesn't matter but to be safe make the current flow through some kind of consumer eg H1 lamp but should not be left unattended!!!
