What a lovely heart to heart while you were doing your hair. "Our chilldren only see mom. Makeup or not, they just see mom." I'm literally crying. You are stunning and we grew up in the times when kids were mean, there was bullying and I don't recall there being diversity. Although being raised in the USA, growing up in a predominantly white Mormon state and being of Asian descent was so difficult. I didn't have an identity until I graduated high school. Thats when I blossomed and the world was my oyster, I tell ya. I still get teary eyed thinking about it and I pray my grandchildren don't go through that and that this world is a safe haven for them. Kids these days are much more sensitive than we were growing up in the 80s and 90s. Lots of love and you are gorgeous inside and out. You guys are raising a group of lovely children.

I was bullied mercilessly in HS, so badly that I wanted to change schools or drop out. My mom would not let me, and always told me that people who criticize you are secretly threatened by something that they see in you that they lack. I have always tried to remember that (sometimes it's hard) but I did persevere, and went on to graduate from college and law school. Today, I am married to a man who adores me and have four incredible kids who love me. Also, let me just say that makeup tutorial was AMAZING. I needed it! So many great tips. Thank you for his candid and inspirational peek inside your private life. You're killin' it girl. Rock on!

I was bullied terribly as a child every day from the 3rd grade until the 10th when a cousin came to live with us. We were in the same grade, but we were each other’s only friend. Children can be so incredibly cruel. You really are a beautiful person, and you bring joy to a lot of people!! ❤

I'm 47 now but about a year and half ago I switched to using Seint makeup. It's cream based and great for mature skin. I had been struggling with liquid makeup looking crepes under my eyes and felt it made me look older. I got color matched. Ended up loving it and it makes my skin look more youthful and glowy. All my makeup is in one big pallet vs a bunch or random bottles and stuff. Love that part too.

I think rather than changing out the sink cabinets I would stain or paint them black and put modern hardware, the curves in it are beautiful and timeless. The new curtains are a great improvement. I like the wall without any art, maybe a cement textured relief art piece the same tone/color as the wall would be nice, I thought you bought one on your Home Goods trip with us. Might be time to change out the zebra rug for a new rug. Which is odd for me to say, b/c I love animal prints.

With regards to having the TV on, my parents limited the number of hours we could watch TV when I was young. As a result when I moved out, I didn't have a TV for several years, and now we have one tv in the house and I really watch very little of it. So much else to do!❤

Love you being honest about how you were treated growing up, many of us were back then but didn’t talk about it….Those Fig Leaf plants are really meant for outside areas, I purchased one and the poor thing died a slow death leaf by leaf 😫 and when I went back to the nursery where I purchased it from, the lady told me that those plants do better outside and what I was seeing them displayed on decor and design channels were just put there for the look of them, plus depending on the environment you live in, My Poor Fiddle Leaf Tree is Now Just A Sad Looking Stick Coming Out Of The Pot After Much TLC That Just Didn’t Work…RIP..FIDDLE LEAF TREE, I TRIED TO KEEP YOU ALIVE 😥 Great video as always V, even after we’ve renovated our home from top to bottom, I’m finding things that I want to switch out and it’s mainly light fittings, like Who has a ceiling fan in a part of your home that has NEVER BEEN TURNED ON Because our whole home has air conditioning and the system is on the wall where the Stupid Ceiling Fan Is Lol 😂…Cheers from Queensland Australia ❤️❤️🐶
