Mine didn’t work so I checked and it said.. “An Ethernet cable looks like a telephone cable but with larger connectors on the ends. Plug this cable into the opening on the back of the computer. Make sure the other end of the cable is plugged into the router. If that does not help, try using a different cable.” Idk what it means pls helppp

So, here's a funny story about this tutorial! I've been trying to help my dad fix this issue and we're not in the same country at the moment, so we were talking via fb messenger. So, we did all 3 of your methods and they didn't work of course. So, thanks for nothing, I guess? But it's not your fault! His laptop is so old that it has a wifi switch or some button on its side so when he switched that again it worked! A little thing I heard of in another tutorial. I had to talk my dad through all of this! Letter by letter! Click by click! And it didn't work. What a hard fuc*ing day!

Check the sides or back of your laptop. Laptops often have a switch to enable wireless connections rather than wires connections through the ETHERNET cord. The same happens to me until I was playing with the switch and it fixed the issue

If these steps don't work then your "network adapter" is missing from your PC. You can download the driver from your computer's manufacturer website. Use another PC to do it and paste the setup in USB and then from there paste and install it in your PC.

Try this (it worked for me) : Since you already tried to download the network adapter drivers : 1 : download windows 8 or 10. So it will automatically install the network adapter driver. 2 : locate where Windows 8 or 10 installed the network adapater driver. Generally, they are located in "system 32\drivers". Or you can see their location by going to device management > click on the "properties" of the network adapater driver > driver > detail on the driver > it will show you the location and the files of the network adapater driver. 3 : copy the file where Windows 8 or 10 installed the network adapater driver. 4 : past the file in a usb. 5 : re-download win 7. 6 : past the file in the same location you copied it from. 7 : Go to device management > action > scan for recent hardware changes > the network adapter drivers will be installed in you win 7. 8 : If 7 did not work, you must manually chose the location of your network adapater driver. 9 : Enjoy. Note : Make sure that the drivers you are installing are comptable with win 7 x86 or x64 and , in some case, the model of your PC, especially if your installing the drivers directly from the brand of your PC.

I had this issue too. This solution did not work for me. I had newly installed windows 7 to my system and it turns out I just had to download the ethernet controller driver.
