Unless you are doing this type of electrical installation work, no one will understand how difficult this is. It’s not just about the physical side. You need to think and plan out your steps methodically by looking at the lay of the cores and how they’ve fell when glanded, avoiding cores fouling each other when crossing over, what bending radius you have and distance to terminals. One wrong cut and game over. This is very good work.

I had to terminate a 70 in a Glasgow without a spreader box and I thought that was hard let alone that! What a job! If you don’t do this stuff day in day out you don’t understand how difficult it actually is! What a decent job that is!

Respect. As a DIYer I spent about 2 hours each end getting some 25mm2 meter tails nice 🤣 But the bloke from EDF did give me a compliment for neatness when he came to replace the cutout fuse 😌

A short bit of 25mm conduit is great for trying to bend cores in tight cubicles like that ...great job again

Buddy considering what you had to work with, I'd say you worked that out pretty damn well 👍.

Absolute shocking switchgear what are the designers thinking , I or are they being told the cable is loads smaller , but to be fair that’s cable box is of such a size you would struggle with most cable types I bet I know who’s gear that is with the comedy Incommer space

Hi Tony. Were the very rear set of lugs already torqued properly if not they look as though it would be virtually impossible to do?
@alanscoffham42225 ай бұрын
Tight that nice job but think I would of done l3 on the second cable first after the first set was away took it behind the l2 would of gained some room

Great work Tony, yes the drive need some more training. Why could the sparks not bring two of the cables through the gland plate more towards the front of the cabinet? Does this show inexperienced?
@carlmarquardt9943 ай бұрын
Dunno did Tony get there and it was already glanded?

You still make it look easy. Tony. What crimping tool do you use?
@danielmihai55 ай бұрын
At second cable, from left, the grey wire should be behind other. And, after that, for next cables, 3 and 4, would have been easier.
@jasonmart10815 ай бұрын
Won't they all have to be undone and moved out the way to allow them to be correctly torqued? 😉

Could you not of got the 2md grey behind the blue and brown?

What happens if you double up on the busbars per phase but the cable length per phase differs in length…. Like your L3 might be longer than L1 cause the cable entry is more towards L1 side and then cable 2 enters more towards the L3 side making your L1 length longer on cable 2 than on cable 1?

Youre only talking a few inches maximum, i dont reckon it would cause that much disparity.
