No it doesn't. The newest 3.6L produces only 310HP / 271lb-ft. Any of their V8 offerings produce at more than this. The 5.3L produces 355 HP / 383 lb-ft and the 6.2 produces 420 HP / 460 lb-ft. The truck is a diesel, so probably produces about 380ish HP / 850ish lb-ft for that gen.

The 3.6L direct fuel injection is torquey, basically is a diesel.

@@berto1014 270TQ is different between SFI/Diesel/DFI. I had the 3.6L Acadia, the feel of the engine is crazy, it usually rolls coal and spews a layer of soot around the back of the vehicle due to the rich DFI tune.

@@actippets2307 it's actually not. They measure the power exactly the same way. The only reason it feels different to you is because of the gearing in the transmission/axles. But 270 lb-ft is 270 lb-ft no matter what the engine's fuel or infection system is. Also if you're "rolling coal" in a gas engine it's not going to last long, and you'll make waaaaaaay less power, and clog your cat which will end up blowing you head gaskets. No offense, but it's pretty obvious you don't know what you're talking about - most here don't seem to.

@@alexklein455 lol I owned one and it’s slow AF. Well, it isn’t horribly slow but anything with a comparable V6 and size would leave it behind. The Acadia is far too heavy for the size. Jeep and dodge has the fastest midsize SUV in the class if we’re excluding luxury brands. Plus Acadia transmissions are trash. I literally sold my 2019 because transmission went out twice in under 45k miles. I’d chose a Ford Explorer before I go for another GMC Acadia.

@@alexklein455 probably not for the newer ones. Consumer reports for my particular year reported complete transmission failure around 60k miles. It impacted my model, Chevy traverse and Equinox. I hear it was an issue with a temp regulator or something like that. Either way I’m glad it’s gone. I will admit though, the newest refresh is quite handsome looking.
