Hey Doc: What about using an actual POT for people to put their bets into? You could put one at each station, and then indicate which active station has the highest bet / have all light up when everyone is 'in'. Use your main 'opt out' to indicate fold. Then at "next round" -- eject all pot onto the table in a fountain for the winner to collect!

When you guys are betting, the minimum bet should match the big blind. So if the blind is 1/2 then the minimum bet is 2. Ren kept betting 2 when the blind was 4. When the blinds go up, so does the minimum, it keeps the game from lasting forever. Great job Doc! this is fantastic! also, blinds usually double every time the button goes around the table :)

Doc, you should add a counter to your shuffler. It counts if all cards are returned and only then allows the next game to start. Like a 32 etho clock with a kill switch to the „next round“ button and a connected lamp on the wall. It would reduce the anxiety of missing a card and checking all inventories to see if all cards where returned (especially with many players)

At poker games and tournaments, players usually set their cards down and put a poker chip or a personal charm on top of the cards. You could have a chest in each position for players (especially the dealer) to put their cards into a chest and put a solid block on top so no one else can open it and look at their cards without breaking the block.

Regarding the return of cards, you might try a counter to raise a signal when all cards have been returned. You'd need to count each card dealt, and each card returned, then make sure they're equal. Or load a counter's hopper with deal events, then have card return events increment the counter. Surely not quite as simple as that, but I think it might allow you to at least light up a redstone lamp indicating whether or not all cards have been returned.

The middle row of the chest should designate which player owns that column based on a wool color. The top row should be the total betting so far from that player with the bottom row being the current bet. That way, you can easily separate the current bet from earlier bets in the same round (cause of the need to double the current bet if you raise a bet). Otherwise if you aren't implementing that rule just make the top row the colors that way the players can bet high stakes up to two whole stacks on a single hand. The only other solution I could think of would be to give each player their own storage for bets. That would better allow for all in and also allow even higher bets for the really risky and wealthy hermits. I think I like this solution the best, but really with two shulkers per player. One for their inventory and one for their bets. This way you can still see the amount that other players have, which is iconic in poker. You love seeing which players are doing well simply based on the amount of chips they have. With the use of shulkers you could also use different colors. I would suggest using the matching color for the players inventory, and then a grey shulker for the bets (I would go light blue since it's close to diamond color but I think you have a light blue player. Could always recolor that player though I suppose). The only downside to this is the need to collect the bets from each player's shulker at the end of the round instead of collecting from a central chest.

Do you know if they re playing Texas Hold'em I readed the rules and I know what re the set for the game (the card combination) But I'm still confuse... I only saw 3 card to complete 5 in the example. Not 5 to 7.

Two ideas for the Façade on the Poker game. Either you make it into a Speakeasy, Selling suspicious soups or You make it your Home away from home, GOAT Manor. That way you can have a mailbox and The POE POE can't shut you down or enter without a warrant from the Judge of Hermitcraft.

With 8 players it might be too busy to have everyone's bet in a single chest or shulker. Especially if you have more 5 or more who are still in after three bets. For the pot, you could put a shulker on the floor in front of each hermit. You could then have each one empty into a minecart hopper after each flop. (It goes around underneath and collects all bets after the flop.) Then dispense it into a shulker in the middle. (Or you could make a display to show how much is in the pot) Then you could use a comparator to display behind the hermits shulker to see who is in and who has folded. If you have button to end their turn or fold, you could use that to keep track of who's turn it is. You could really do a lot with that. And yes, I know that is a lot of redstone.. but what's that to Docm77 and the hivemind?

I agree - A shulker would be very confusing with 8 people all putting their diamonds into it. Even if you had wool or player heads showing whose diamonds they are. There just isn't enough space. Really not even in a chest. I don't think this would be too dificult to do. The redstone is actually pretty straight-foward.

Just an idea for the poker game. Player heads that players heads stay in the top row for who is currently playing. The "button" on the 2nd row for blinds that moves across. Maybe add a second button so there is not confusion on who is big and who is small. And bets stay below each player so it is easy to track. I think a double chest would work better for this. Love you Doc! Keep up the crazy/inovative redstone builds!!
