Yeah he's alive, but his career died, and along with it, our relationship (as the public) with him. Granted, he has made a valiant effort in acting regardless of his condition (we're talking Parkinson's disease [P.D.], just to be crystal clear) in shows like the Good Wife. And he did brilliantly, embracing the P.D. as a part of - but not all of & b only-the character he played. Full five-star credit for that. But to be fair, it's entirely different to the career he would have had, had it not been for Parkinson's. * I can't speak for the guy who wrote the comment, but that's what I inferred from it, and that is why I clicked like 👍

When I was born Feb 1987 my parents filled out a baby book and in the question "who is the most popular actor in the world?" they wrote Michael J Fox. 31 years later I got to go to a Back To the Future Autograph signing and was lucky enough to get photos and autographs from Lea Thompson, Christopher Lloyd, Tom Wilson.....at the start of the show they had announced Michael wouldn't be feeling well enough to come out and sign, and everyone was real understanding....then hours later, toward the very end of the day, people started to cluster and you could tell there was excitement....sure enough, Michael J Fox had come out to his table and was happily signing HUNDREDS of autographs! He looked great and had great control of his body at the moment! I got to go up and say hi and told him about my baby book and how I'd always hoped to get the chance to meet him. Man was super nice. All four of them were extremely generous actually. Everyone at work was very jealous of the photo with Lea Thompson where she let me grab her by the waist and she rested her head on my shoulder

Wow what a lineup all the great actors of my time! Chris Farley, Michael j.fox, Adam Sandler, David Spade, and Chris Rock! I would have loved to been in that audience or even just in that room!!

David Spade's first written sketch to make it to air. He told a story about how Chris didn't tell him that he'd stolen the "weight problem" dialogue from Stripes until the last minute.

@RaozSkillz you make a nonsensical remark saying something about pedos (and how they "should be allowed"??) and childporn, or something to that regard, but _my_ brain doesn't do much? Michael J Fox is definitely a legend.

First time seeing this sketch. Once again, Farley owns the scene. This belongs right up there with Matt Foley and the "decaf coffee crystals" flipout. They could've just done Farley singing "Second Hand News" dancing in a Chippendale's outfit for a whole sketch. He had the Midas Touch. We who grew up in the 90s were so blessed with his extra thick presence on our extra thick TV sets.

Church bro. This world needs Chris Farley. I mentioned his name a few days back ago to someone younger than me, and I said "You know..? Tommy Boy!?" they said who's that...🤬 After 9/11, we all seemed to have lost our innocent laughter and EVERYTHING became fuckin so serious, yet here we are.

I wonder if Spade made Sandler the humble one when he wrote the skit or if Sandler came up with it on his own. Here we are 30 years later the humble guy is the one on top by a pretty wide margin. RIP Farley we'll always love ya

Some stuff on SNL was so low brow but because it was late night or referred to subtly it go away with it. Like the canteen boy and Alec Baldwin would never get on tv now 😂😂😂 I heard Phil Hartman say there was big backlash when they made a joke bout Chelsea Clinton growing up to be a babe, when she was 14 at the time , something like that . Not sure they ever aired it

I remember when 14 was the age of consent in some states. But that was 1985.

Yeah, but it's supposed to be super cringey just as it is today. All of them in one way or another are meant to be losers. Sandler's character is the only redeemable character.

@@WestOfEarth if you have a good memory, SNL is where Louis C.K. states pedophilia must "be pretty good" and the Rock created a robot that molested children... Lorne Michaels probably visited Epstein's island 🏝️

0:30 you can tell Chris Farley is tweaking hard if you watch his left hand. He keeps tucking his pinky under his ring finger and clinching his fist sporadically. I know because I used to do it. I wish he would’ve found the right woman to show him the love he needed before he turned to coke that last time. Loneliness was the real killer. Rip Farley
