This song is sad, but it's also so powerful. I remember when I felt like needed to be a good kid and for a lot of adults and teenagers that means don't rock the boat, stay still, stay quiet, do whatever people tell you, don't cry. And for this effort I was rewarded, I was admired, and I became suicidal. Because if you don't teach a kid about mental health and self care and psychology then they'll have no idea how much they're hurting and that they need to talk to someone and this is why telling any child not to cry is damaging. Because people crying is catharsis, and releasing those emotions is important. And mental illnesses like anxiety and cptsd or regular PTSD involve crying in some form or another, and a child with that mind set will think, I'm crying, I shouldn't be crying. And they'll keep it to themselves until it becomes too much for them. I was lucky, so many kids aren't.

Hope you guys are still doing ok, i feel you. I rewatch this thing when i’m feeling bad about myself, when i was younger i was really sensitive and i hard a hard time speaking up about things I didn’t like/didn’t feel comfortable about without crying, and i ended up just crying a lot and then crying more because i felt guilty. combo of this and super repressed dysphoria ended up driving me to s/h but luckily now i’m out, proud, and doing way better!!

I had major anxiety in elementary school because I felt as if I had to fit in, and act like all the other kids. I had to get along with literally everybody, never cry, and be a good student. I'm on the autism spectrum, btw. The school system actively ruined my life, and I'm not even mentioning when they lost the digital copy of my birth certificate, which we needed at the time. I also failed two entire grades on purpose because of depression, and they still passed me. They're not trying to shape you into being adults, they're shaping you to fit into society's norms, and not what you need as a person.

OMG this song fits my character Smalltalon to a T-! His father trained him and his brother as young kits, he made the two fight eachother, sometimes with claw and tooth in the nursery, neither of them wanted to do it, to hurt anyone, despite that, Birchkit was strong and got good at it, while Smallkit's desire not to hurt anyone made it so he was never any good at it, and because of his reluctance and poor skills his father Sheerstone made him feel worthless, telling him he'll never be good at anything, that he's weak, and despite the abuse, Smallkit just wanted to please his father, he wants to be loved and spend time with him, even if it means getting hurt or hurting, and he's carried the mentality that he's not good enough into his adult life, even though he's definitely succeeded past his father's expectations by now, he still feels like he's not good enough and he hides it by being upbeat and fun-loving, which deep down he actually is, and he still wants to please others, his mate Amberspark is a great support for him and she's helping him build his confidence anyway she can. As for Sheerstone, it was when Smallkit and Birchkit we're about 4 going on 5 moons old that their mother Mintstorm finally stood up, put her foot down, and told him like it is, she put a stop to it, no longer able to bear seeing her babies put through so much pain and mental torture. She told the others and everyone started showing hostility towards him for his crime. The next day Sheerstone left on his own accord, Smallkit cried and begged him to stay, but he ignored him and he was never seen again. Mintstorm was a much more confident and comfortable cat after that and decided she wasn't going to be pushed around like that ever again.

Idk what's going on but dayum the character looks so cool with his long tail and bit of fluff on the end and nice mouth with sharp teeth always been a fan of this style since balto. Steel was always my favourite alongside jenna and that little dog that looks more like a poodle than a husky, dixie I think she was called. For some reason they had these tiny dogs that I guess were supposed to be huskies and these big fat ones but they were a completely diff art style than balto, jenna and steel so idk if they was supposed to be huskies or some other type of dog but I didn't like the mixture of art styles tbf but the only one I liked was the dixie dog I just imagine she's supposed to be a small dog breed
