What's so crazy about Simone is that she actually overrotated the vault when she did actually compete it. It's amazing to have too much power for such an already difficult vault. Her block on Yurchenko vaults is pure perfection. In Tokyo, when she bailed on the Amanar, she was extremely high. If she stayed in tight layout position, she probably could have gotten a triple twist around. Even other GREAT vaulters don't have the crazy block off the table that Simone does. It's stunning.

The "Miller" is really 2 skills, a back dive 1/4 to handstand right into a handstand 1/2. The first part of it was already a common skill and the 2nd half of it was just for flourish. If she did the entire turn in the air (more difficult) for a back dive 3/4, that's already called Omelianchik. Miller does have a skill named for her in UB that she only competed like once.

I've always wondered why anyone would go straight for a double pike vault instead of trying to get a double back tuck named, first. It seems like it would be rated just as high, if not a 6.6 at least a 6.4, which would still be one of the highest rated vaults in all of WAG.

The judges take a guess as to what it would be rated internationally. Remember Simone’s double double dismount on beam? That was rated higher at nationals but then downgraded at worlds as the FIG said “it is too dangerous” so they didn’t really want anyone else trying it.

Oh damn anyone else wishes Biles is planning on shitting on her haters and coming back? If that won't make her happy then obviously I don't want her to but we can all hope can't we? Not only would it be awesome cuz she's awesome but with her approaching her 30s by the next Olympics and after Chelsea Mannings attempt to go to Tokyo I think maybe we can stop sending and destroying such young children. The fact gymnast "retire" from 16-20 is ridiculous I hate how much pressure there is and the entire culture and that. Show the world what women can do.

@@10thletter40 no I think it was harder for her to decide to NOT compete. The pressure of an entire nation is on those athletes and if your the GOAT of a sport.... especially one of only two women's sports that are more popular then the men's. Plus she's a hero every damn day compete or dont compete. Even if she had quit gymnastic back when Nassar assaulted her I would still find her a hero. To survive something like that let alone thrive and become a legend. Obviously she's needed mental health help which he advocating for that and for Changes in the sport also make her a damn hero. Her showing little girls their health matters more then a stupid competition. Keri Strug was seen as a hero for vaulting after she already hurt herself and then she destroyed her leg. If the culture hadn't have been what it was would Keri have made that decision? Or would she not have? She didn't even need too. Idk I'm not saying it wasn't awesome or that she wasn't but I cringe to think about what would have been said or done to her if she refused

They repeatedly call her Simone "Bails," and literally tell her she's a "traitor." Plus, some just straight up use every possible slur for a Black woman. I rarely use either of those apps, but even so I've seen too many ignorant people running their mouths. I don't know how she signs on social media at all.
