It's not "editing"! It's manipulation, which is an entirely different matter. Andrew explains what it is at about 4 minutes into this video. Reputable photo agencies do not pull edited photos! They pull things like composites where a bunch of separate images have been cobbled together (copied from other photos and pasted). So it's not "a photo taken by William". That's a lie, apparently. It's embarrassing and quite shocking that one of the spokesmen from Agence France Presse (one of the agencies) said they didn't initially scrutinize it because the Royal Family "have been a trusted source for years". But, he added, "they aren't anymore". 😢

No, it is not a peculiar thing to tweak home snaps, most families, teenagers do this all the time! Catch up for goodness sake. We teach in schools how to use photoshop! The palace released it, so you all knew full well it was bonafide. This was a generous and beautiful sentiment, to send, a lovely reassuring image of the family to the Nation on Mothers Day. She didn’t do this with any malice to deceive anyone, it was an innocent and natural gesture, as an enthusiastic amateur photographer, she would not necessarily know of publishing rules and regs. You should be questioning the Palace for maybe putting this together without her knowledge or Prince William perhaps. Even if she did it which I doubt , it was a dumb move and she doesn’t deserve defending as lovely as she is. It’s the press and media that have made the mistake. The general public love the photo. All that’s happened is that people have unsubscribed from these platforms as we are sick of the hypocrisy and drama. If the Princess wants to take the children’s photos and edit it before going on instagram she has every right to do so. This is a much bigger issue than whether Catherine edited a photo. I try not to believe in internet conspiracies, so I take these types of stories with a grain of salt. If the picture truly was AI-generated, that would be important. However, I tend to think this claim is not true.

This isn't about editing a photo! This is about possibly creating a photo that was never a photo! Media found Catherine's picture to be manipulated to change the images in the picture including her face! Media asked for original photo as proof. The palace refused to provide it & media sent out a kill order!

The most appalling thing about this whole Catherine and the photo issue has been the behaviour of the media. Absolutely out-of-proportion , full-on trolling (and I'm not talking about the press agencies 'killing' it). Just despicable behaviour. Catherine releases a photo with the children every year in honour of Mothering Sunday. This year she's recovering from surgery so they didn't use a professional photographer. The trolls have been driving all the conspiracy theories, and are driving all this 'lack of trust' rubbish as well. Kill orders have been issued on all kinds of photographs over the years - but have not generated anything like this massive attack. Meghan and Harry have ALSO had photos 'killed' for photoshopping - and regularly release photos that have very obviously been heavily edited. These raise regular comments in the media - but nothing like the vicious firestorm unleashed on the Wales.

In this age of digital photography I believe almost EVERYONE does this - I probably would if I knew how! The mainstream media sickens me!
