Looking at the mods and the bodges and the bar brace unfortunately you have bought this bike from someone who probably spent most of his time trying to wheelie it. I think it would have been better with hindsight to buy from a main dealer. But we are learning as we go and certainly your videos are great for some of us who might one day be doing our own maintenance.

Thanks for watching and following us - truly flattered. Here in the UK, these bikes don't have a wide market - unlike other parts of the world. I walked away from a G310R at main dealer with almost delivery mileage for £3000. Brand new, they are £5000. The resale values aren't super strong and there are always plenty for sale -- so that was one reason I took the risk and bought off eBay. Plus as you correctly say, it wouldn't have made much of a project for KZbin. So £1300 was an absolute bargain given that on the whole the bike is in good shape, and the electrical side is my real area of expertise. But there is still plenty to come and a driving factor in the initial purchase decision is I'm not a fan of the colour schemes so wanted a black frame and black wheels to create something individual. I'm pretty sure the bike was stolen but it isn't on the register, and as a result I don't believe it fell into "the wrong hands" for long enough to do any damage other than cosmetics really. I've had a blast working on it - totally different from the 4 wheel stuff we do and it has left me craving to take on another BMW - perhaps the G310GS next! Addictive stuff.
