Omgoodness Leslie! You’re so sweet talking about how there’s nothing homemade at all about this recipe. I’m here to tell you that all the love you put in it can’t be replaced. Also, I once read, and I think it applies to many quick dinners: If I had to stir it; it’s homemade 😂😂 I love this and it’s so true. I thought you’d appreciate hearing it… and using it going forward. Love you girl ❤️

Thank you for your videos! I haven't tried any yet, but I will. I had to tell you something that I learned over the years. No matter how clean my hands are, I never reach into the shredded Cheese bag. I always wondered why the shredded cheese got moldy so quickly and then I figured it out! Shake out the cheese onto your dish, in a pile, in the middle. Then spread it with your hand. The cheese in the bag will last for weeks! Proven by experience!

Made this pie today using the deep dish frozen pie crusts, and we enjoyed it. As for the ingredients, I used the same as yours, but added some chopped pre-cooked onion. Regarding the top crust, I took it out of the tin and let it thaw on the counter, then flattened it out and trimmed off the crimped edging. I put the filling in the other pie tin and then carefully picked up the trimmed one and placed it on top of the filling. Baked it, then let it set for a few minutes. Thank you for sharing your recipes.

I made this with leftover turkey. I had one frozen deep dish pie shell left and one sheet of puff pastry. So I just put the puff pastry sheet on the top. It turned out great. I had added bouillon in the past but I tried your gravy mix this time. Thanks for the fun videos.

I followed your recipe in this video, used a can of mixed vegetables and left over chicken from a rotisserie chicken. I used the frozen pie crusts, thawed a little. I filled one crust and put the other one on top and crimped the edges. My husband loved it! He said, "Did you make this?" I said" Yep! " it was so easy. Thanks Leslie!

Ok I made a chicken pie today, but I did use fresh boiled chicken breast and frozen mixed veggies. I used the cream of mushroom soup, chicken gravy packet and I sautéed shallots and fresh garlic. Then I didn’t have American cheese so I used 2 slices of Swiss I chopped up and a little bit of Gouda I shredded. I have never made a chicken pie; always bought the frozen ones. Oh my goodness! So easy and tastes amazing!!! Thank you Leslie. I’ve been watching your past videos so trying those recipes. Going to make the Chicken Cordon Blu Sunday.

As a kid, one of my absolute favorite things was the Banquet (or Swanson) chicken pot pies. They came in little tins and you turned them upside down on your plate. We would see who could overturn theirs and have them land in one piece. I loved them! There were beef and turkey too, but chicken was my favorite. I’ll bet this tastes just like it. I have to make this - thank you!

I make this chicken pot pie very similar. I do like the refrigerator pie crust best. Try using cream of potato soup instead of mushroom or chicken. The cream of potato is so good. I also use the frozen peas and carrots and just microwave them for 1 or 2 minutes to soften them. They hold up better than in a can. I am not a fan of the cream of chicken. But it’s a good pie. Love them.

I don't do a bottom crust because I don't like crust. My pumpkin pie is a 9 by 13 pumpkin custard which is what goes in a pumpkin pie I just double the recipe and bake it without a crust. It is so delicious from the refrigerator with that extra creamy whipped cream in a can the! I will put something for a crust on my chicken pie which is just like your chicken pie without the milk and gravy but I can use regular pie crust rolled out I can use like you did breaking it up my mother used to do that I can use send biscuits that aren't going to rise up into the broiler! LOL

Thank you so much!! It's funny about me and the camera because in my family I'm the least likely to enjoy the camera. But I'm so glad you enjoy the videos. You are a huge encouragement to me. Yes , we got snow. We usually only get a few inches each year so just a small amount stops us in our tracks. But the snow definitely put us in the Christmas mood. We lost power for a while but it's back on and we are warm and cozy.
@sharonmacdougall39965 жыл бұрын
The Farming Pastor's Wife I am happy to be an encouragement. You seem to have fun doing your vlogs so I hope a little encouragement helps you to keep making them. As you can imagine here in North Eastern Canada we get quite a bit of snow, almost 6 feet over the winter months and it gets quite chilly. Today is warm though, only -9 celsius ( 15.8 F ), of course the windchill always makes it feel colder. In mid winter it can go down to the minus 30's to -40 C. A little chilly but I do enjoy the winter, and all seasons. Glad you are staying warm and cozy. Take care.

Hey Leslie, make a homemade one and I myself LOVE the homemade one. I use the refrigerator pie crust cause I'm tired of making homemade pie crust. I'm 69 years old and I don't want to spend a lot of time making something for dinner. For convenience sake, yes I'd use frozen mixed veggies cause I don't like canned veggies. I don't like canned pop either. I use a lot of spices in my cooking. My next accomplishment will be to make a apple and pecan pie homemade. Whenever I get the energy lol. So take care and stay safe. Love you girl. 😊😃😀🥴😎🤪😷

We like the way breaking it up does plus my kids enjoyed doing that when they were young and it's just been how we have always done it. I have tried the refrigerator rolled crust one time on it but it just didnt work as well. I think breaking it up makes it more crusty or substantial. Not sure if I'm explaining it well or not.

I’ve been writing all the recipes down. I don’t know how you get to post on Pinterest all I know is that I have 3000 pins on things I’m interested in. I was watching the clothes haul and you were showing the bathing suit. I have the same built as you and I went to try one on. Nothing is worse than a 3-way mirror and fluorescent lighting to make you depressed. I have to tell you something. My husband and I met a couple our age from Albany GA. The only time we went south was to Florida was to take the kids to Disneyland. Again we come from NH and we can below zero weather and snow storms nothing stops people from going out except to ski because of the mountains. So these friends came to visit in May. Now we can have a frost up to Memorial Day. Sandy was on our porch with a mink coat, winter hat and mittens and it was 60 degrees. I was wearing a sundress and flip flops. They really loved the fresh seafood , and couldn’t believe people were swimming in 60 degree ocean. Truthfully I thought they were crazy too. The following May we went to GA. We went for a walk nobody was outside. Nobody came out until sunset because of the heat. The had their A/C so low I had to go out and look for socks and a flannel nightgown. Then we went to town it was so cold in the car I had to find a store to buy a sweater. Even the stores were ice cold. We went to this restaurant that had a traditional southern cuisine. I couldn’t believe this couple and my husband were chucking down fried 🐓 collard greens and whatever else they had like it was their last meal. Same country but different ways of life.
